So after waiting for 7-8 days for our documents to be assessed, I rang them and was told the ID documents have to be submitted in person at the branch.... And then we'll be reset and sent to the back of the queue. Good grief.0

Does anyone know if we can continue the application with a different property or would we have to start again. Also has anybody had any success on here appealing the valuation and how successful were they?
did somebody else outbid you? The vendor may have the same issue again with another mortgage valuation unless its a cash buyer!Nationwide told me when it happened to us that we could amend the application so long as there wasnt much of a time lapse, otherwise it would have to be full application again.FTB- 90% LTV

New to the thread but longtime lurker.
67.7% LTV Existing customer moving house. Our application timeline is as follows:
26/08: Full application
26/08: Application received text and email
13/09: Application update “ We've received all requested documents and your mortgage application has now been passed for full assessment.”
28/09: More documents requested
30/09: Documents sent (had to wait for letter from work re maternity)
1/10: Called and they said can’t find the documents on the system yet to wait until tomorrow to call back and then will be another 9 working days and Monday is day 0 so could not be until 16/10! Valuation also hasn’t even been booked yet and I’m aware I’ll have to wait days after that! I’m aware our case is more complex as I’m currently on maternity leave but we have a current mortgage (paying the ERC as currently in fixed rate and getting a good rate on a new mortgage and no stamp duty is a bonus), current account and savings accounts with them so you would think it would have been quicker for us! We are the ones holding the chain up as it’s a very short chain!
Tearing my hair out and worrying that we will either lose our sale or the house we are buying!!0 -
Broker has been in touch...9 days after the last submission... Nationwide have now requested clarity around a 3 year term i served as a director of the company i work for (employee owned) separate "trustee" company. This 3 year term ended 2 years ago. Been told to wait up to 5 working days further :-( - i'm so frustrated right now...this is not relevant at all for this mortgage :-(
