I do have one question...and, it would be amazing if someone could answer....IF there had been any issues along the way (e.g. after hard search on 10/8), would we have heard about it at that point? The fact that I have only had progress updates so far - does that put us in a fairly decent place?
our timelines are almost the same! I’m getting so fed up waiting 😂Negative... although my local Vodafone tower has been down for over a week so my text messages are a bit patchy. Might move to the other end of the sofa so I'm closer to the window, maybe that'll trigger a confirmation text? Also noticed the average time to decision has crept up to 24 working days. I swear it was about 17 just a few weeks ago. 30 working days here, but tomorrow's gonna be the day, I can feel it!

I phoned today for an update as we are an existing customer moving home, we are close to exchange. They told me that the valuation won’t be booked until we have been signed off due to hubby SE. She told me that the first queue was for the documents to be vetted (10 working days) then the second queue was after they’d asked for more documents and for those to be vetted (10 working days) then once they’d been vetted it would go into the 3rd queue for the underwriter to look at the documents in detail (9 working days) only then would a valuation be instructed, which could take 10 days, then 7 working days to be reviewed, then offer sign off and issue. I’d be lucky to be in before Xmas 😂 good job I’ve already got an offer from Platform else I’d have lost this new house!! It doesn’t meet their requirements for escalation but the MA might be able to escalate with his BDM. It’s a joke.0

Hopefully it'll be quick! Now on to day 31... this is killerBuy My First House During A Pandemic Challenge

Mortgage consultant called back today to sort the issue with having to change deposit/product I'd chosen after incorrect valuation price. Opted to change product to a higher rate (about £20 extra / month) and just received all 3 texts through at the one time! What a relief! I'll be drinking on a school night tonight! 😁
18 working days in total from application to offer.
06/07 - DIP
24/07 - offer accepted on house
07/08 - full application submitted
07/08 - valuation instructed
09/08 - valuation received and under review
31/08 - issues with purchase price being entered as the valuation so didnt match
02/09 - call with consultant to choose new product
02/09 - valuation report received, approved & offer issues.
Hopefully this is helpful to any others!1 -
