I assumed post offer assessment was just the mort.offer being sent in writing with terms & cond? Its all guess work tho tbh as communication is basically zero! Glad its not just me going out of my mind. We are on working day 34 today. Hard searches hav been done yest by our other applic for diff lender & docs already been looked at so they may actually beat nw!0

Nope not just you, I think everyone on this thread has lost the will to live a few times since this process started
I will update the forum on Tuesday when (if!) the money comes in - let you know if they did another search

Our update from fri....so Nationwide apparently now want an updated contract from my partners agency even tho they've had contracts confirming his employment for the last 6 years with no break in contract. This is our 8th week since applic & cannot believe they're asking yet another doc. We are literally climbing the walls. Hes an existing cust, excellent credit score, just 1 credit card & 75%LTV so we just cannot understand why underwriters are being so picky. Broker has said he's furious with nw & never experienced wait times like this before. Going to call up our sellers estate agent this morn to beg them to not give up on us, wev found our perfect home & dont want to lose it!😫😭0

I've also been a lurker on this post - we put an offer on a property on 1 April and were meant to have a valuation on 19 May after waiting WEEKS for Nationwide as they had "no dates available" - er, what? On 19 May, we got a text saying our valuation survey had been pushed out 3 weeks to 9 June. I called my broker and got the number of the surveyors, called them and apparently the "equipment the surveyor was going to use was broken on the morning". Unbelievable.
Nationwide has since asked for 2 more months of bank statements (no surprise due to the delay). We are HOPING to get news tomorrow. Let's hope so, as the purchasers of our house have just told us they want to complete by end of July. PANIC!0 -
On Thursday 22nd June I messaged the Nationwide MB for an update on our application as he had previously told me that we should expect our offer at the beginning of that week. The MB told me that 16/06 we passed our final assessments and we are just waiting for the offer to be created and hopefully we’ll hear back by the end of the week. On Friday 23rd June my partner was asked for ID and a bank statement with his address on for the underwriters even though we had already previously sent these documents. Does anyone know why they might need these again or has anyone else had to resend the same documents more than once?Still no mortgage offer 😩0

NW asked for more documents again yesterday. I've completely lost the will now.
17/05 AIP19/05 full application
25/05 surveyor came to value the house
26/05 text to say they received valuation report
31/05 hard search on ClearScore
13/06 request for statements for an account they already had statements for
27/06 more documents requested
I don't know what to do now. My ex is getting harder and harder to live with. This is putting things back at least another 2 weeks. I think I'm going to request my broker keeps this application open but puts in a parallel application with a lender with a faster time scale. ARGH!Debt was £15,903 😬 Now £2718.14 £0 😲🥳0 -
That’s poor from them, I really don’t understand why they keep asking everyone for new documents and can’t be clearer about this on the way. As you say you know now it’s another 2 weeks until they respond again.
We are due an update by tomorrow and my fear is they’re just going to ask for something else, now over 9 weeks since we did the full application. If so we’re going to apply with somebody else as well.0 -
We were meant to hear today and our mortgage broker rung them this morning and was told we "should have further feedback tomorrow, however, the case has been escalated for urgent attention". I'm losing the will to live here. We had our DIP in APRIL! How the heck do things take SO LONG? They did our valuation on 9 June and supposedly got it 2 days later. time scales are now 11 working days, which means we should have gotten the results YESTERDAY (sorry for all the shouty caps). All this moving of the goalposts is depressing the heck out of me. It seems like a neverending hell., like we are never going to get this mortgage. Don't they realise they are playing with people's lives?0

Has anyone had any luck recently with ringing nationwide themselves? I don’t want to keep pestering my MB daily 🤦♀️0
