We are 9 days post offer and we are still waiting for a completion date for the remortgage. Your Conveyancer (nw solicitors) are dragging their feet. So frustrating and stressful, but why should i be surprised0

Hey guys, if a case is escalated by MB & solicitor how long do escalated cases take to be answered?0
-
Id like to know this too as my case is supposed to be an escelated case too & the last doc we gave them was 10 days ago & heard nothing since! Says on the nationwide intermediaries web 12 days for doc processing but don't know if thats escelated cases or not?0
-
Can I ask how and why you’d escalate a case? Is it just if they are taking a long time?0
-
I’ve been told they are not escalating anything right now when I ring, even though they badly messed ours up so it’s taking 5 weeks to review one document.0

My broker told me they’re not escalating anything atm 😬Debt was £15,903 😬 Now £2718.14 £0 😲🥳0

Can anyone please tell me what what it means by initial refer decision? And what is the post offer assessment? Is that another stressful hoop we have to jump through?

I think I worked out today is the 26th working day since my broker applied, but this coming Wednesday is 12 working days since they requested documents. I really hope we all get good news soon, I don't think I can take much more of this!!Debt was £15,903 😬 Now £2718.14 £0 😲🥳0

I think 'initial refer decision' refers to where your DIP is referred, rather than being accepted straight away? No idea what 'post offer assessment' is? We finally received a text today saying 'Good news your mortgage funds will be released on Tuesday 28 June - all applications will be completed at this time'. I don't know if a post offer assessment is a final credit check on completion date. Some people seem to get a soft search at this stage, others don't get anything and one or two people in a previous forum got a hard search. Seems to be no consistent approach? I can only assume that's what this is? Obviously, I am assuming it will get pulled between now and Tuesday because NW have managed to get me into such a state throughout the process that I can't believe that something isn't going to go wrong at this stage!

My Timeline

Payment of loan appears on credit report so not sure why they have been so harsh with this point.
Spoke to NW advisor on 16th June as didn't want to keep pestering the MA, they told me no way to escalate and that the underwriter will review on 1st July.
I hope i hear soon, don't want the sellers going cold on me. Very stressful, i have turned to the forums to get some solace lol
Good luck everyone waiting!!0
