We're very early in the game having only applied for our mortgage on Friday last week, the MA said NW are on around 6 working days for the initial assessment. It's gonna be even longer for us as the blasted long weekend (which I am working because Nursing never stops!) is on it's way 🙃

Congrats on all those who have had answers today and let's keep trucking for everyone else 😅

  • Anyone else experiencing horrifically long wait times at the moment?

We applied on 26th April - It's been over 5 weeks and they requested another document on Friday...processing times are now 11 days! Valuation accepted and credit checks fine. So looks to be mid June now that we find out, what with all these Bank Holidays. Nearly 2 months of gruelling wait. I just hope our sellers don't get impatient and relist!

    Good luck to everyone applying!

Yes its doing my head in. I had to give more documents on Tuesday and my next update is apparently 13th June. I got told by NW when I called on  Friday that they are doing overtime and training new underwriters up.

I received my offer text just before noon so hopefully you'll get yours soon.
  • @shellbell136 sounds like we have exactly the same time line! My partner and I are both self employed, although we have a big deposit so hopefully this helps. Are you going through a broker? I'm guessing the wait time with NW coincided with the rates going up and everyone stampeding to remortgage to lock in the best rate. Just so unfortunate timing wise. I have my fingers crossed for you!
