  • Just a quick update from us, our valuation is on 11th. We had them ask for a missing statement on Thursday via our broker and I was hard searched yesterday

We've had our mortgage offer through today - relief and celebratory moods here! B)
Here is our final timeline, for what it's worth (pretty much a calendar month from application to offer), although as has already been discussed above, the process and order of stages seems to vary a lot:
    • 7 May - DIP directly from NW online
    • 8 May - full application submitted directly to NW online - text confirmation received. Supporting docs requested (payslip/latest statement for current mortgage) and emailed through - automatic email confirmation received
    • 15 May - supporting docs 'reviewed and satisfactory' - hard credit search also done around this point
    • 1 June - text to confirm valuation date booked for 4 June (long wait for booking was caused by IT issue where dates weren't automatically instructed for several thousand applications - this period was definitely the worst, as NW couldn't give any timescales as to when the backlog would be cleared, but we were then lucky not to have to wait long at all for the date itself)
    • 4 June - physical valuation took place and report 'received and under review' by end of day according to online tracker (no text at this point)
    • 7 June - 'valuation approved' and 'offer issued' texts/emails received simultaneously. As the offer text/email didn't contain any details of the offer, and the online tracker was no longer working, I phoned just to double check we had been offered the full amount applied for, and they emailed me the offer documents - all looked good!
All in all, it was a mixed bag - there was some painful waiting in the middle, but the online application process was very straightforward, and we weren't asked for many documents, and then the valuation-to-offer part was really quick in the end. So, I'm pretty happy overall, and we're lucky in that we're still only a week behind our buyers (we accepted their offer on our house exactly a week before our offer was accepted on our purchase, and their mortgage offer came through a week before ours), so it hasn't really delayed things.

Good luck to those still waiting - my fingers are tightly crossed for you!

Just to say, offer received 9 days after application submitted. Desktop valuation and fairly straightforward case.
I'm not celebrating, as I need my buyer's mortgage to be offered too, but it's certainly a hurdle/worry overcome on my part.

It's been a week since our survey, and we've heard nothing yet unfortunately. Our mortgage advisor is going to chase tomorrow - I'm wondering what's taking so long.  :/
  • I received my mortgage offer today straight after the valuation text I applied on the 4th May. I haven't even had a hard credit search! 😯
  • We’re currently going through the nationwide mortgage process. The valuation was done on 24th May. We then were under full assessment on 26th May. We are still yet to hear anything, our mortgage broker chased today and they have asked for our newest payslips. Is anybody else going through the same thing?

we have our valuation tomorrow (also on the one we are selling - same surveyor) - nationwide asked last week for a bank statement but that’s the last we heard - they have since done a hard search.

So I've just checked Credit Karma and the hard search was performed on 2nd June.

11 days since our survey, and we just got the 'valuation received', 'valuation approved' and 'offer issued' texts, all in the space of one minute. :) So it took around a month for our remortgage offer to be issued, from when we sent in the application. Haven't seen the actual offer yet of course.

I take back the last bit, our mortgage broker just sent through the offer as well, and they valued our flat at the full amount. Happy days!
