    16/8 - Application and all supporting documentation submitted (we should be a fairly simple application).
    26/8 - Valuation complete (assuming desktop) and application awaiting underwriter assignment.
    14/9 - MA chases and has been informed Platform are still working on applications from the 11/8 so will be another two weeks realistically...

    Little bit bored of waiting at the moment but thankfully everything in our chain is moving slowly so we aren’t holding anything up at the moment.
    It's reassuring following everyones updates. I would love to know at what stage the application is. I don't even know if it has been to the underwriting team or has had a valuation. Hopefully my Broker responds to my email asking for an update.
    L&C just called my partner ( not me even though it was me who asked for an update) who was frustrated that I asked for an update as their portal says lender assessing. This is not an update as from reading this forum Platform are able to advise on the stage of the application. She also reminded by partner for us not to chase. Honestly can't believe how poor their customer service is. In 6 weeks, we have asked for an update 3 times which is entirely reasonable.

    E-mailing my adviser every other day at the moment. Platform are hideously slow. Application sent through adviser in the last week of July. 

    Thursday I was told  it was being send back to the case handler, and should hear something in 48 hours which elapsed yesterday. Still heard nothing. 

    E-mailed adviser yet again, she's on the case.

    What is taking them so long? They haven't even done the hard search on credit yet, but according to adviser all documents sent look OK.

    It's so frustrating isn't it! I understand that Covid has had an impact but I'm sure they would have been working from home so wouldn't have had much to catch up on. It's even more frustrating when lenders such as Natwest and Halifax seem to be able to provide offers within a week. Unfortunately we had no choice but to go with Platform.

    Did your advisor update you with regards to the position of the application or did you do direct to Platform? I am so tempted to contact Platform directly but have read online that only the broker should contact them.
    My broker has been keeping me updated with the process, she is very good and responds to emails very quickly. 
    The offer didn’t come yesterday, so hoping it will come today. 
    As I refresh my email 3 millions times lol

    I didn’t see a hard search on equifax but I’m with check my file and it is on there only 1 credit search agency has it reported, on the day of application. 
    Who are you with?

  • Platform did a hard search the day my application went in. Im on experian. Nothing since.
    This wait is killing me off!!!!

    I am thinking the same, mine was submitted on the 8th July!!! I get there backlogged but waiting all this time with little to no updates is ridiculous. I am actually shocked to hear so many people in the same boat!
