No issues whatsoever.JamieInk123 said:Wow that is slow, you must be pulling your hair out! Have you had any issues with the application since you first sent it off (e.g. missing documents) that you have been made aware of?
Have actually just heard from MA, they said if they're happy with all my docs, it'll go straight to offer within 48hrs. woooo!0 -
We are now into week 10 with Platform. We have passed underwriting, valuation has been completed, and came back at purchase price, and still waiting on our offer. Apparently platform needs to confirm the property is freehold, as the valuer said it was leasehold... There are two titles on the property that have never been merged and we are buying both. Solicitor says it's all okay but it has taken a long time to get to this point. Hoping that this is the final hurdle and we'll have our offer soon!0

Update from us.nakiwala123 said:
Platform received our application on 6th or 7th August. They called me yesterday morning and confirmed that our application had been vetted and that it has now been passed on to the Underwriters. It would take up to 5 days for a response from the Underwriters. Every week we called for an update and they mentioned it was not vetted yet, I assumed vetting was the same as underwriting so you can imagine my disappointment when they mentioned that there was another step. We are so close now though.
I called platform on whim earlier today and they confirmed that we have been accepted for a mortgage offer. It will take up to another 2 weeks for us to receive the declaration form and return it to them.

My Broker submitted my application on 03/09 and I know it's too early to have gotten a response, but I thought I'd ask so I know how best to contact them should I need to.0 -
We have just had confirmation from our mortgage broker that our mortgage has finally been offered!sm77j said:We are now into week 10 with Platform. Timescales:
8th July - Full Application
20th July - Asked for further documents, sent the same day
28th August - Valuation (this was the earliest one we could get apparently)
14th September - Mortgage offer
It's taken a lot longer than I expected - our case was very straightforwards! But very happy we can start to move forwards now!2 -
Just wondering if anyone is using L&C as their broker and what your experience has been with them? We are finding them to be quite unhelpful and have no idea at what stage our application is.
Time scales:
07/08/20 - Application submitted
02/09/20 - Platform asked for wage slips (don't know why this wasn't requested during the application stage)
10/09/20 - Platform asked for the full name of our solicitor even though this was on our application
We have no idea if a valuation has taken place or been requested.
Has anyone else had an experience like this?
Our solicitor searches came back 04/09/20 and there is no chain, so the offer is the only thing slowing us up0 -
We did not use L&C we used a small local broker, but from what I've heard L&C isn't the best in terms of service. However, even with our local broker platform weren't very good on the communication front. It took us 10 weeks from application to offer. So I'm sure you'll be fine just don't expect any quick movement on platforms end!rdunn_ said:Just wondering if anyone is using L&C as their broker and what your experience has been with them? @rdunn_ Interesting, I tried going with these guys initially as they're fee free, but they didn't respond in time at all so I went with Mortgage Advice Bureau. My advisor has been very contactable and happy to spend time on the phone. Did Platform ask you for these things directly or through a broker?rdunn_ said:Just wondering if anyone is using L&C as their broker and what your experience has been with them? Our mortgage advisor at L&C was good but the case handler is terrible and has no customer skills! Platform went through the broker for the further information.qwerty567111 said:

We are porting and borrowing extra so existing customers this we don't really have a broker to go through. The number we called is the one on the mortgage in principle paperwork that we received from them. I think if you aren't a customer already then they will only communicate through your broker. Do you have an account number yet?qwerty567111 said:nakiwala123 said:
