NewDay TUI Credit Card closing

I've got £67 worth of points, and I'm certainly not interested in booking a holiday right now.
So I bought a £100 giftcard on the tui website hoping that would work, but it shows on the statement as
Svm Global Gift Cards Rotherham, so it hasn't triggered the spend as Tui.
So I've phoned tui/newday on 0333 455 8990, and spoke to a guy called Omar,
politely explained the situation and my annoyance at losing £67, and after a 10 minute wait on hold
he came back and offered to credit my account with £50 as a goodwill gesture.
So anyone else with a decent amount of points which are going to be worthless come the 14th September,
give them a call and see if you can get something back.
Good luck0 -
So the account has now closed. I assumed that I would still have access to see transactions and statements, but no, access denied. I'm waiting on a refund for a flight that could still take a few weeks to come through. How on earth am I meant to know when it's received?0

Card Balance: £0.00 Your TUI Credit Card account will be closed soon
Dear Funkycredit,
We are writing to remind you that, as per our previous communication, your TUI Credit Cardwill be closed on 14 September 2020 .
What does this mean for my account?- You can continue to use your card as usual until 14 September 2020.
- Thereafter your account will be closed and your card will be blocked from further use, and you should continue make your monthly payments until the balance is paid in full.
- This will not affect your credit rating as long as you continue to keep your account in good order.
What happens to my points?- If you have 2500 or more Loyalty Points, these will be redeemed as usual if you make an eligible TUI/First Choice purchase until 14 September 2020;
- After this date you will not be able to redeem these points.
What happens if my holiday purchase is due to be refunded to my card?
The standard TUI refund policies will still apply should your holiday be cancelled, and a refund made back to your TUI card. If there is a credit balance as a result of any refunds it is important that you contact us to provide details of the bank account to which you would like your credit sent to.
Remember, to keep your account in good order, it’s important to pay at least your contractual minimum payment on time each month.
We understand this news may be disappointing and sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused.
Kind regards,
Francesca Rea

Given that TUI have put their prices up a lot for next year looks like I will lose my points. When you reach 2500 you can then claim the points through booking a holiday or flight you are not then rewarded with a cash reward off of the balance of your account. You pay for the deposit or holiday in full and then whatever points you have then get deducted from your account. Any points that people have earned when the account is to be closed in September should be able to be used for longer than the day mentioned - so going to lose out on £35 worth of points - wish I had used my other credit cards now - so much for 'loyalty'.It's pretty clear and obvious that the poster referred to loyalty by using the card which offered free points that convert into vouchers. Anyone with a half a brain can see that!
Glad somebody has called this idiot out. Sorry but I'm sick of him/her and several others on here with their holier then thou attitude and sarcasm.funkycredit said:
Is there really any need for your ridiculous posts when all they do is belittle or condescend people. You know something, you're no different to anyone else here. You aren't better than the next poster!D3xt3r5L4b said:

It really puts me of posting here 99% of the time and I wish the mods would do something about it... Nothing worse then people who put others down about debts and their financial behaviour when they are quite clearly (like the person they are mocking) on mse for being a moron with their finances in the past
