Today I finally received my vouchers for pitched roof insulation and double glazing 🥳🥳🥳 BUT they didn’t send one for the energy efficient door. When I enquired why, they said my installer is not approved 🙃
My installer is approved so don’t know why they are saying they are not,  my installer is completely fed up with it all as they clearly are approved.

On a positive note please preserve, vouchers are being sent.  I regularly called the helpline for progress, if l hadn’t l probably would never had been told the hold up was sending copies of ID- of which I’d never been asked.
    Good luck all 😘
    Mortgage Feb 2015 £178,500 END 2043!!

    MFW 2015 £100 /£1000

Watch this space, my MF end date will tumble!!
  • I applied for the Green Homes Grant on 17th October and I am still waiting on a decision. I know they received my application so that’s not an issue, but just think this timeframe is ridiculous. Has anyone else come across this or found a way to get a response..?

Have they been in contact with you for more information?  And have you contacted them?  The only way to check progress is to ask them.  And, if you read the more recent pages (since Christmas) in this thread, you'll find many people who report that being proactive - contacting the scheme regularly - is the only way to actually get any progress.

I contacted them again yesterday, again told to wait, it's been 4 months.

This grant application has been a complete farce.  When the scheme opened it took us until December 2020 to find a local tradesman to provide a quote for external insulation grant, most were inundated with enquiries or struggling because of Covid and there were few in our areas authorised to do the work.  We submitted our application in December and at the end of January had heard nothing.  I emailed them only to be told the application was on hold as there was information missing, news to us we had suppied everything asked for.  They said they needed proof of ownership in the form of a council tax bill.  Our council tax billing is paperless and you cannot download or print from the site so I sent a screen capture.  At the start of this month (March) i had still heard nothing, so another email, only to be told that my application was on hold because the screen capture was not suffice and they actually needed 2 proof of ownership a council tax bill and a utility bill.  In addition they also need a copy of a bank statement and a scan of a passport (what if you dont have a passport?).  I still cant access a council tax bill so have emailed my council and received an automated response saying because of Covid it will be 3 weeks before they respond to my email.  So I have instead now sent mortgage papers hoping that will prove ownership.  Nowhere in the government guidelines does it advise that you need to submit all these documents,  and if it is necessary, why dont they ask for it all with the submission? And why if they need additional information do they not contact me to advise they have had to put my application on hold rather than wait until I enquire on the progress of my application?  No wonder the scheme has failed miserably this time,  it is such poor administration that I suspect many people have just given up on their applications, Im pretty close to it.  I am not sure now if we will now be in time to get our application processed before the scheme is closed.  I have copied my local MP into my most recent communications with the scheme.
  • Stick with it, vouchers are coming thick and fast now and payments are quicker too.

Got an email today saying my application (originally put in 30th September) had been unsuccessful because I hadn't supplied the additional information requested, which I had supplied and received a specific confirmation email about (not just the 'we'll be in touch' auto-response). Emailed back (and copied in my contractor) and if I don't hear before Monday I'll ring them. Complete shambles, start to finish, with unrealistic 'brief estimates' on the pre-application website and a lack of communication to anyone throughout.

Hey Guys, I was one of the lucky one's, received my voucher in early December, been in contact with my Installer since then, got an email 2 weeks ago saying they are not taking anymore work due to not getting paid by the scheme.
My voucher expires in 2 weeks, now I have to source another Installer to be in the chance getting my work done.
Has anyone been in this situation?
If so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

You can go onto GHG Webchat and request that they extend your current voucher - usually for 90 days from the expiry of your current voucher ( Confirm this with GHG )
and screen shot the Webchat for your own reference

Hopefully this will buy you a bit more time to find an installer and get the work complete.
    Good luck.

I updated my request this morning as the quotes had expired and the installed had confirmed that his quote will remain current. So I had a an auto-response followed by a request for more information confirming my identity and ownership of the property - that is difficult to provide at the present moment as the deeds are in a safe deposit box and due to the lockdown inaccessible.
Why this information couldn't be requested for on the application form I'd like to know.
Think it's just a delaying tactic to frustrate the applications (and save HMG money!).
