  • For flat roof insulation in London I have tried 4 firms since 1 Oct.
WorkWorkLtd.  Prepared to quote for £100.  Sent details to 2 email addresses and asked for how to make payment.  One email address rejected (inbox full) no response from the other despite a follow-up email.  They have not picked up any calls since.
Force Maintenance Team Ltd (same as Force Maintenance although the numbers are different).  Every time the answerphone mailbox is full.
Polybased Insulation Ltd. Messages left twice.  Today managed to get through but they no longer do flat roof insulation.
In desperation - Pacifica, based in Durham.  Put on hold after recorded messages, not answering.
This scheme really has not been thought through.

Nearly a week since applications opened, has anyone had a response yet?
No - I did email asking what the expected timescales are, but I don’t suppose I’ll get a reply!
I got a reply back today after 2 days. They didn't even answer the question on how long it would take so I sent another one email :(
I also sent an email asking what the response time was for a decision and got a generic reply saying to keep checking my inbox as they were receiving a high volume of emails at the minute! I honestly don't hold out much hope of getting my works done.

Despite trying numerous companies since the scheme was announced weeks ago I still cannot get a quote for external wall insulation. Would anyone who has managed to get quotes & have applied for the grant be willing to share the names of the companies they have been successful with please. Also which primary measures they are having done. Many thanks in advance
What area are you in ?
We are in Yorkshire. Having absolutely no luck whatsoever
Have you tried All Seasons Interiors Limited. They are in Sheffield. They quoted me without coming out or even speaking to me. The quote however, was £11,550 which was £2,000 more than my other highest quote. I think this price is quite inflated if i'm honest but the suppliers know we are struggling to get quotes.

Thanks Empeters. I had completed All Seasons enquiry form some weeks ago & followed it up today with a phone call. I then received a couple of emails this afternoon & like you they have provided a quote from looking at Google street view. I had obtained a quote in the summer from a local guy who is not Trustmark registered & therefore cannot take part in the scheme. All Seasons are about £1500 more expensive which I suppose isn't too bad in the circumstances. Can I ask which other firms you obtained quotes from please

I received this reply to a query about my application, so it doesn't seem a quick decision is likely

"You can edit any information regarding your application and installers on your customer portal. As this scheme is so new the customer application portals will not be online until after the 18th of October. After this date you should be able to amend either of the applications submitted.Thank you,Green Homes Grant Scheme"

I received a reply after submitting the customer contact form on the GHG gov website. They said I should expect a reply to my voucher application within 10-12 working days. It wasn't made clear if that was from today or from the date I submitted my application (30th September).

Is this for one side of your house? Is it a terraced house or something else? Just trying to compare the price to what I have been quoted.

Yes please. Front side of a terraced house, pretty standard.
