This is for the entire house. I live in a 3 bed semi.nhussa22 said:
Is this for one side of your house? Is it a terraced house or something else? Just trying to compare the price to what I have been quoted.empeters said:
Have you tried All Seasons Interiors Limited. They are in Sheffield. They quoted me without coming out or even speaking to me. The quote however, was £11,550 which was £2,000 more than my other highest quote. I think this price is quite inflated if i'm honest but the suppliers know we are struggling to get quotes.AN64 said:
We are in Yorkshire. Having absolutely no luck whatsoeverempeters said:
What area are you in ?AN64 said:Despite trying numerous companies since the scheme was announced weeks ago I still cannot get a quote for external wall insulation. Would anyone who has managed to get quotes & have applied for the grant be willing to share the names of the companies they have been successful with please. Also which primary measures they are having done. Many thanks in advance0 -
Could you link me to where this form is? Also did you get a confirmation email after doing the application?nhussa22 said:I received a reply after submitting the customer contact form on the GHG gov website. They said I should expect a reply to my voucher application within 10-12 working days. It wasn't made clear if that was from today or from the date I submitted my application (30th September).0 -
Can the voucher be used with multiple installers?
I need flat roof insulation as my primary measure, and then I need to replace full house single glazing, and no one installer will do both of these.0 -
we live 15 miles west of Peterborough, run solid fuel (smokeless coal) in the ex LA property who installed the central heating system 10 years ago, yearly heating costs for running hot rads 24/7 with free HE are no more than £400 a year in a semi 3bed. I hate the system its dirty leaves sulphur dust everywhere, kills your lngs and leaves a 1/2 ton of caustic waste ash every winter which is not collected in refuse waste. BUT we dont qualify for an upgrade to a clean system without a £15000 input - WHAT a waste of time this scheme is - payback of £15k (before a minor grant) and a rise in biomass fuel (from £400 to £800 PA) even with a repayment incentive still makes it more costly alternative to pumping CO2 into the country air. We simply cannot afford to change even though we desperately need / want to.0

Apparently so, I did read somewhere. The details on how you would do that I don't know, even the installers seem to know very little about how everything is supposed to work as they're not getting the info from whoever is supposed to be running the scheme within the government!Dale_UK said:Can the voucher be used with multiple installers?

This scheme is no good for boiler replacement unless you qualify for the £10k and the system is less than £10k even then you will have to be careful that it will cost more to run than your existing if you mean by repayment incentive RHI then you won't get that either until the grant is payed off so not much if anything there.ianhbennett said:we live 15 miles west of Peterborough, run solid fuel (smokeless coal) in the ex LA property who installed the central heating system 10 years ago, yearly heating costs for running hot rads 24/7 with free HE are no more than £400 a year in a semi 3bed. Dear Imtiaz,
Thank you for contacting the Green Homes Grant Scheme, we are delighted to learn that you have submitted an application.
I'm sorry to hear that you have not yet received confirmation of your application to join the Green Home Grant Scheme. However, please do not worry. We are receiving an extremely high volume of applications at the moment and this has meant we have a slight delay in confirmation emails being sent out. Apologies. Please do continue to check your email (including Spam), and it should be with you 10-12 days after you submitted your application.
Just so you know, customers will be able to access their own personal application portals as of 18th October. If there is any incorrect information on your application you will be able to amend it via that portal.
Alternatively, you can always submit a new application in the meantime, ensuring all the correct information is submitted.
Please check back at www.simpleenergyadvice.org.uk for Scheme updates or further assistance and advice.

Advised by my installer that they have had a problem uploading all contractors onto the Trust Mark website so they cannot be traced despite them being on Trustmark for several months. Also I cannot get past an error message on the application website for the grant which says I haven't completed a section when I have completed all relevant sections!1

Received an email back which says: Please allow 7-10 working days to receive your confirmation email.

Just seen this on the Gov website - they are saying early November for vouchers today - who wants to bet this will slip back. This will give installers even less time to meet the March deadline.
