I applied first thing Wednesday morning as it opened. I also did not receive a confirmation email but did get a reference number. Like others the email that I sent to the address on the page bounced back so I emailed the general enquiries and they passed it on to the relevant department. It’s the department for business, energy and industrial strategy if anyone wants to try. enquiries@beis.gov.uk
I haven’t heard anything back yet and it’s very disconcerting not knowing whether or not the application has gone through.
I did the same thing and emailed the address you posted, but got no reply. Did they tell you specifically they sent it on to the right department? I dont think they say that to me.

I want some uderfloor insulation, an extra layer of loft insulation and a new door. When I looked for an insulation company on the approved list there were 6 relatively close by, however when I typed in energy efficient doors there was only 1. Considering I live in Southampton and the only approved company for doors was in South Glamorgan, It's hardly green! Don't know how I'm supposed to get 3 quotes?? I guess I'll contact them tomorrow anyway.

You don't need to get 3 quotes, they only advise you to do this, but I guarantee whoever quotes you and is on the SEA list will take the **** and after taking into account the grant, will slightly undercut a normal quote.  I doubt you'll find anyone trustworthy to do the primary measures, certainly not the secondary ones.
  • I have read that "When you apply for the primary measure, you'll be allocated a reference number that you'll need when applying for the secondary measure later".

I am hoping to do this (ie, apply for the primary measure first to start the process, and then apply for the secondary measure at a later date). I have found that solar thermal installers are a bit more proactive that the glazers I have contacted and don't wish to delay the process of the primary measure waiting for gazers to quote.

Does anyone know, or can see, where I would enter the 'reference number' when applying second time around for the secondary measure? I can't see anything on the application form and am a bit concerned of being caught out if the top quote is incorrect.

I called them this morning ‭020 7215 5000‬. They said there’s been a computer glitch and not everyone got a email confirmation. If this is the case email and within 5 working days you should have another email sent.
You would have hoped that you would have received confirmation of the actual voucher within 5 working days given there is not a great deal of time to get the actual work done.

Just saw this on the Gov website - making it more difficult to use!
‘Vouchers will be valid for 3 months from the date they are issued or until 31 March 2021 (whichever is earlier). Vouchers must be redeemed before the validity period ends. You can request a voucher extension at any time before your voucher has expired, unless the scheme has been closed’

Yes they told me they sent it on. I emailed them myself as well though. Had an auto reply yesterday saying that they aim to get back within 15 days.

Hello, applying for the New Green Homes grant today - trying to clarify as to wether spending as an example - 15k on  External wall insulation with the Voucher providing £5k am I then able to claim a secondary measure for an additional £5k ?

    thanks in advance,
I'm afraid not the grant amount is for a total maximum of 5 k unless your on certain benefits then it's 10k,all pie in the sky anyway hardly any installers.
