I got a parking ticket after parking infront of my garage....

Those photos suggest that the parking permit scheme does not apply to the garage area. There is a definite boundary to that area as the tarmac changes and a row of blocks are set into the ground.
The sign is outside that defined area, facing towards the roadway. There is no entrance sign, and no signs within the clearly defined area.
Methinks the scammers are perhaps trying it on, or couldn't be bothered to spend money on extra signage.
The signs in any case are prohibitive, and ridiculous for the garage area. Taking this to its extreme, a car could be parked within a garage, with the garage door open, and could be ticketed for not displaying a permit.
You definitely need to identify the landowner. It only costs a few pounds to obtain a copy of a Land Registry entry, although it costs a few quid more if you need to submit a map as a manual search then has to be carried out by the Registry operatives.
I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.

Thank you. I did contact my landlord, with no luck. I will get on to what you have suggested later on this evening and take it from there.Fruitcake said:Those photos suggest that the parking permit scheme does not apply to the garage area. No one responded back to me. I will make a call today and see if I can get an answer.Coupon-mad said:Maybe the enforcement boundary doesn't include the garages. What has the Managing Agent said about that?0 -
In the year I have lived here, I have never seen anyone use them. I have also had confirmation of this. The three opposite are used and the one that was accessible behind the vehicle is my neighbours. He kindly stated that a vehicle could be parked in front of his garage, as he does not use it for a vehicle.NeilCr said:As a matter of interest how do you know the garages aren't used?1 -

It's just got the feeling of someone complaining about the way you were parked to the agent or parking company.
I guess it's possible that someone might have recently acquired one of the garages - or suddenly decided to use it again
Anyway, as Fruitcake says - you need to find the landowner.1
