the bad news is that they've asked me - and presumably other complainants - NOT to share any further information publicly.
Perhaps you should write and ask them, in the interests of trust and transparency between you and them, could they kindly explain why that should be the case.

Nice and polite. The response might be interesting. 😊
They have already explained the reasons @Umkomaas. They are aware that CST monitor forums like this.  SRA have committed to providing updates periodically, and I will post any relevant information here if and when it becomes available.
    Thanks - understood. 👍
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Private Parking Firms - Killing the High Street
  • Good morning,

Received the same CST LAW £170.00 LBC in post last week.

Have read through everything -  so I have followed the Newbies sticker and have sent a SAR email yesterday to PPS London and a deny of debt and legal authority email to CST Law.

I have received an email this morning from PPS London requesting the PCN and VRN.

    I replied with both.

    They have now replied again:

'Could you please confirm. What is your relation to this PCN. As registered keeper of the vehicle is different in our system.'

I'm not the registered keeper but assumed they'd know what the query is about considering they've instructed CST Law.

Quick info - I disputed the PCN for several months in 2019 and 2020 as the parking was paid for but I accidentally put one incorrect digit on VRN in mobile app.

Am I even obliged to reply to them now?

If they don't know what my query is regarding - are they even aware of CST Law acting on their behalf trying to claim money from me for them?

Shall I just ignore as I've done what is requested with the SAR?

As you know, this is a fake claim  CST has never been able to explain the fake add-on of £70

'Could you please confirm. What is your relation to this PCN. As registered keeper of the vehicle is different in our system.'
What have you told them ??

Did it include any unlawful amount for debt collection?  If so please read this and complain to your MP and Trading Standards.

If you are not the registered keeper why are you involved?  Driver maybe or helping the RK?

Nothing. After I sent the SAR email to them, they asked for the PCN and VRN, which I sent them. They then replied with the above to which I have not replied.
  • It only included a figure of £170.00. Nothing else specified.

I was the driver, and I was in communication after I received the PCN because I appealed on the basis that I paid for the parking but accidentally input one wrong digit of the VRN into the pay by phone app. I've not been in touch at all with the RK.

Is there a link to a letter template to complain to MP and Trading standards on here somewhere please?

I'm not frightened by CST Laws threats, I have done no wrong and won't be intimidated. But I do not want a CCJ against my name.

So am I just sitting here waiting for that to happen? And then having to react to clear it in court?

No there is no template for complaints, for obvious reasons.  Think about it and why it needs to be in your own words- far more powerful.

I really hope you have done the Government Consultation and told them what you think of them increasing charges to £130 PLUS FAKE DEBT RECOVERY COSTS IN TOP!
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
