Looks good to me.Ian Blackford, now he's a bit of a handful! You could have three heavyweights in your corner. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

The parking company in question have sought to sidestep this inconvenient fact (that they simply don't have any case in Scotland) by routing their legal dealings via an English solicitorAs pleased as I would be to see someone using a router to drive through legislation, I think you meant "touting"0

Hello all, I am in a very similar situation as Raggieweegie. I am a Scotland resident and received the exact same LBC from CST Law through the mail a couple days ago, only this one is for just one PCN of £170 (same mysterious £70 tacked on to the original £100 PCN) for the infamous Strotters Lane in Inverness. I went on the advice of locals and ignored everything up until this point. I only recently came across this forum since receiving the LBC and have read the entirety of the Newbie thread, all 39 pages of this thread, as well as threads relevant to Scotland. Unfortunately, I am now in the "information overload" stage and looking for a little clarity.
1. what are the chances legal proceedings will actually commence for one PCN?
2. Should I send an SAR request to the DPO of Smart Parking and an email to the solicitor as detailed in these threads, or just continue ignoring their harassing letters?
I plan on sending a strongly worded email to the SRA complaining of CST Law's misleading and unethical actions, and I plan on emailing my local MP (Ian Blackford) as well as Drew Hendry (MP for Inverness)..anyone else?
Your help is highly appreciated. Thank you for the time and effort you all put into this forum.0 -
1. what are the chances legal proceedings will actually commence for one PCN?In Scotland, unless the PPC and their solicitors are being stupid, and the name of the driver has not been divulged, the chances are nil. No one can give cast iron guarantees, and when predators are starving (COVID famine) they can be hugely unpredictable. They only eat money!2. Should I send an SAR request to the DPO of Smart Parking and an email to the solicitor as detailed in these threads,Yes, go with that.I plan on sending a strongly worded email to the SRA complaining of CST Law's misleading and unethical actions, and I plan on emailing my local MP (Ian Blackford) as well as Drew Hendry (MP for Inverness)..anyone else?I'd love to see Blackford on the case, he has fearsome rant capacity, especially if he can kick the Sassenachs in the process. Are you going to write to Robert Jenrick too? Pete Wishart MP absolutely detests Smart Parking, and for the sake of a further cc to your email, load one on him too. Keep us in the loop. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Just in case anyone is eagerly and anxiously awaiting a response to a letter sent to SRA, here's their auto-reply to my e-mail:
We aim to respond to you within 40-50 working days. We are working hard to maintain this, but the Coronavirus pandemic is causing some disruption to our service. If we cannot get back to you within our usual timescales, we are sorry for that. We will respond as soon as we can.
Better put the kettle on. Might have to wait a bit.1 -

Personally, I'd also be wary of raising an interesting issue with too many politicians. Like journalists, I think 'exclusives' are quite attractive to them.
Just an opinion, of course.2 -
Thank you all for the advice! I will keep you updated with any progress.1

If you don't tell, you will never sell ?
Of course Mrs Sturgeon should know what is happening to her voters.
What is happening to you is not exclusive ...... it's happening to many and .... if you wish you can help the many ..... or not, that really is up to you1
