No point in reading the CST junk rubbish any furtherPlease note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Afternoon all. Scottish post again. I have received this through the post and this looks like a legitimate LBC. I plan on submitting a SAR, and writing to the solicitor also. What I would like is a little bit of advice regarding the mystery £70 (mystery £100 originally notwithstanding) attached when/if this goes to court. Also, do you think on the basis of this letter a claim is likely? Thanks all.
You merely adopted the PCN. I was born in it, molded by it. I didn't see this forum until I was already a man.0 -
The quoted Civil Procedure Rules and PaP do not apply in Scotland. This is a complete CST FUBAR. You must report this crap to the Solicitors Regulation Authority!

Your responses are much appreciated. I have more questions:

2. Should I proceed as though a claim is likely at my Sheriff court? Get my SAR, begin forming a defence etc.

What are they lying about? And how would I go about wording a complaint to my MP?
Read the post timed at 5.12. WRT complaining to your MP, I find a letter does the trick. You however may prefer email. Do not telephone him/her.

CST are misrepresenting the law to you in an attempt to force you into payment. That is the problem you highlight in your complaint to the SRA.This will be going nowhere near a Sheriff Court, so don't start going down a blind alley, then getting the more excitable here to start confusing the situation. Just do the complaint. We won't write it for you, but if you wish a regular to critique your draft, flash it up here before sending. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. It's Smart (not so Smart) the famous Scottish scammer. You will know of Pete Wishart, one of your MP's ... he has said in the house of commons that he considers them to be criminals. He is the MP to contact and send him a copy of that letter.
Also, send a copy to Mrs Sturgeon because CST are trying to extort a further £140 from you ?
Mrs Sturgeon will not want scammers from Sheffield spreading their dirty muck into Scotland
YES ... REPORT CST TO THE SRA
