CST letters' forum group thread

CST Law are scamming again.
You must respond and if they have sent forms TO COMPLETE you ignore the forms
1: Deny any debt
2: They say DRP instructed them ...... THEY LIE, DRP cannot instruct anyone as it's not their debt
Ask them for a contractual agreement between you and DRP ... there is none ?
3: Ask them on what legal authority they have to add £60 ... they have none ?
See how this bunch respond, if they do. It's the perfect letter to show a judge if CST are stupid enough to go that far.
CST have now tainted their claim by adding a fake £60 which makes their claim unreliable

They seem to have a similar address to VCS and also claim to be part of the Excel group. It looks like a letter of claim because it says so and it gives you 30 days to respond. Not sure that Debt Recovery Plus can instruct anybody as they are debt collectors. Did you get financial forms (which you don't fill in) and did they provide the evidence they are going to rely on in court? Submit a SAR to Conkai and see what they come back with.
Of more interest perhaps is that;-
(1) I can't find them listed on the AOS membership for either the IPC or the BPA.
(2) They also don't appear to be registered with the ICO.6 -

You need to provide the registered keeper's full name and address, the address on the V5C logbook and the Vehicle Registration Mark of the vehicle involved in the parking incident.SubjectAccess.Requests@dvla.gov.ukThis service is free of charge.Even though you email your request, the DVLA will respond via Royal Mail. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. And the letter looks like a LBC so it's time to send Conkai a SAR to their DPO email, as the NEWBIES thread tells you. Why not add 2 extra questions to the SAR, specifically asking to see:
- all information shared with third parties, including but not limited to any employee of Excel or VCS, and
- evidence of who obtained the DVLA data and when/how/based upon whose KADOE link, given that Conkai appear not to be in an AOS.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

And in there is:Note: If you have visited or have received a Parking Charge Notice relating to Conkai Security Limited, the Privacy Policy is identical to that of Vehicle Control Services Limited. However, the company registration number is 07152136 and the ICO registration number is ZA013653.So VCS are claiming that Conkai are registered with the ICO - I've not checked.
Note that there is absolutely no reference, that I could find, on the Conkai website to any privacy policy.
Also, should one write to the DPO at VCS about Conkai privacy issues? That is not clear on either website.
But if you want a smile, look at the 'Latest News' in their home page:
Independent Parking Committee?? How 'late' is that latest news?

CST Law didn’t provide any evidence or other forms. There was no ‘enclosed pack’, just payment instructions on the back. A few other posts suggest others have received the same, followed by another letter with forms.
I also came to the same conclusion when searching for Conkai privacy policy.
So my plan of action:
- Email SAR to Conkai and VCS
- Email SAR to DVLA
- Email CST Law about seeking debt advice and denying any debt, that I am awaiting SAR and ask for any evidence on what authority DRP have to instruct (e.g. any contact between me and DRP)
Note: CST didn’t add £60, it’s Conkai’s additional charge for not paying the original £100. I’ve looked back over the letters sent and amusingly DRP have offered to reduce this to £144 and £136 at various points. Recent DRP letters have even suggested that I could negotiate the £160 if was experiencing difficulties because of COVID-19 (they apparently have a “sympathetic ear”).
Let me know if I should contact anyone else (e.g. ICO).
Appreciate the advice, thank you.

You don't want to confuse CST any more than they are now ?
1: You want to see a contractual agreement between DRP and yourself
2: You require proof of the their legal authority to add unknown amounts
It matters not who added it, it is now the responsibility of CST to respond
