Well done, that’s fabulous progress. My eBay sales have stalled. At the moment I’m getting post collected so the post charges takes a lot from the profit on smaller things, but if I start the bids too low I’ll not make anything at all. My larger items aren’t getting much interest apart from really low bids below the reserve, so I’ll try changing the pictures next time around. Maybe I just don’t have the right kind of stuff!

I just sell clothes, shoes and accessories.  My ex bought me a couple of pairs of designer shoes, which I only wore a couple of times.  They've sold really well.  I know what you mean though, the postage and fees are a killer.  I always just put things on at the starting price that eBay recommends.  It's pretty gutting though when you have gone to the effort to photograph and list things and they go for really cheap. I've got a couple of Ted Baker dresses listed and they are only at £10 each, I'll be devastated to part with them for a tenner each (I'd rather keep them!!) But needs must to be debt free by October!

Ah that’s my problem. I’ve listed shoes and a matching designer bag..never worn. I won them in a competition some years ago and they are worth over £700, but the designer was a high end start up that sadly seems to have gone out of business so I don’t think that helps their worth. I don’t even have watchers at half price, but I’d rather wear them than give them away. I do have a lot of unworn clothes that I could list, but looking at the prices clothes sell for it can be really hit and miss.

If you've never worn them and they didn't cost anything just list them.  Then you can treat yourself to something that you will use.  Yeah you're right, even good brands don't seem to sell for that much.  But a few quid is better than chucking in the charity bag I suppose!

So July turned out to be a pretty expensive month, with various unplanned expenses (I need some savings ASAP!) BUT I've managed to hit the 50% paid mark!!!!  Couple of changes made, firstly we've started doing our food shop online, mainly for the convenience but also to try and cut down our spending. My partner has gone back to work properly after furlough so this should reduce my spending drastically (He's a Director so was only getting £600 a month)  I've paid off the expensive Next account so I've £50 extra a month to put towards paying down my debt.  I cannot tell you the satisfaction of calling them to close that account- I've been in debt with them for YEARS!!
The big credit card balances remaining are feeling pretty daunting but I'm feeling positive and my credit rating is going up.  I'm still hoping to be debt free by 31st October.  I'm focused on knowing I'll have some savings in November/ December so Christmas etc will be worry free and I can start 2021 with a clean slate.

    Tesco: £2,209.50
    Fluid £1,069.78
    Next £0
    Barclaycard £0
    New amount owed £3,279.28

    Starting Debt total £6,289.33
Debt Repaid June & July £3,057.60
    Percentage of Debt repaid: 50%
Target debt free date = 31st October 2020
