Hi
If you do decide to give up smoking then ask your GP about stop smoking classes.
When I (finally) gave up, the support was great and I got 8 weeks of nicotine replacement on one prescription.

I feel like a different person, I've become completely obsessed with my spreadsheet for budgeting and debt repayment. Decided today that it didn't make much sense to have £750 in savings and be paying so much in interest. So I've paid £500 off my Next account today and brought my DFD forward from 30th November to the 31st October. Keeping the other £250 as an emergency fund.
Starting Debt total £6,289.33
Debt Repaid June & July £2,269.63
New amount owed £4,019.70
Target debt free date = 31st October 2020

11 new listings on ebay today, I'm really hoping that a couple of high value items will help to pay off the remaining balance on the Next account. Boyfriend is super happy as the wardrobe is a bit less rammed. Few more larger household items to list on facebook marketplace tomorrow0

Wow you are doing really well. Debt free by the end of October would be awesome. I think you did the sensible thing to use part of your EF to clear £500 of Next.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. So far I've made around £270 after fees from my eBay listings, so over half way to my target of £500 to clear the high interest Next account
I've also got £10 left from my £40 budget this week.
Asked about my promotion/ pay rise at work on Friday but everything's on hold due to Corona virus until November. Gutted but I suppose it will give me a it more leverage as I was supposed to have a pay review in April. Disappointing but I'll get over it

Total for eBay selling now stands at £530 after fees and postage, which I'm over the moon with, but listings still have until Saturday to go! This will clear my Next account and hopefully my Barclaycard. Going to have a proper clear out this week, as I'm sure I've got some other items I don't use.
My final debt payment in October will only be £250, so I'm trying to think of extra ways I could raise this cash to clear all my debt in September. Although I'm trying to predict my balances for future months, so I may have got it wrong - could be more or less. The budgeting/ debt spreadsheet is definitely helping me stay focussed and its keeping me accountable for my actions. It's amazing to see my credit card payments go from £310 a month to £161 in just a few short months. It's a bit like giving yourself a payrise! Just need to tackle the larger Fluid/ Tesco cards between now and October.
Got family coming to stay on Sun/ Monday, which I'm a bit worried about as I hadn't budgeted for this. Trying to think of inexpensive things to do together. Been super organised with my diary at work so I've incurred no expenses in the last week. I've been taking a coffee from home, plus water, snacks and lunch to avoid spending at the expensive service stations on route.1 -
So today is the last day of most of my ebay listings. I've had a clear out and put another 5 items on this morning. The total now stands at £570 but I'm sure this will go up over the coming hours. I was offered £300 for an item which was posted out on Monday, the money came into my account yesterday, so I paid £300 off the Next account immediately. My debt has now gone under the £4k mark which I was super excited about. Sounds really sad, but I can't wait until payday so I can tackle some of the bigger balances.
Tesco: £2,263.64
Fluid £1,081.20
Next £230.66
Barclaycard £144.20
New amount owed £3,719.70
Starting Debt total £6,289.33
Debt Repaid June & July £2,617.18
Percentage of Debt repaid: 41%
Target debt free date = 31st October 2020
