My salad usually contains:
Lettuce
Tommys
Cucumbers
Red Peppers
Spring Onions or Red onions.
On the side we will have perhaps some Ham/Chicken and some cheese.
If I'm not in a healthy mind I might toss it in black pepper and extra virgin olive oilIt really is nice

Salad in very variable here...to keep it interesting. May favourite thing to do though, is cut every thing into very small cubes, which makes it like a salsa almost, and every mouthful is full of different flavours.
BUT, tonight salad (home grown mixed lettuce, for the first time this year, cucumber, tomato, beetroot, an apple and cucumber) is dressed in a spicy dressing (bought, and ridiculously expensive but one bottle lasts us at least a year and we love it) Usually I make a dressing. I also love salad dressed with just the juice of half an orange.0 -

Is it only me who thinks salad with hot stuff (lasagne, pizza etc.) is a bit, well... wrong/weird?
My salads are usually lettuce (wedge of iceberg), cuc, red onion, peppers, celery, hard boiled eggs, radish and sweetcorn, with tuna or ham or chicken, or salmon.******** Never be a spectator of unfairness or stupidity *******"Always be calm and polite, and have the materials to make a bomb"0 -

Yesterday's salad was a mix of leaves from the garden, with toms and avocado and 2 asparagus spears [steamed before mixing in], with added pickled courgettes from last year chopped very finely, with a vinagrette dressing; plus a cucumber and mayo side salad...alongside some hot spinach and ricotta ravioli with goats cheese and home grown sun dried toms made into a sauce. It was scrummy.
All my salads I just pick what's in the garden and use what's in the fridge to bulk it out.If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.0 -
my lunch today, was:
Lettuce
Cucumber
Tomato
Raddish
Red onion
Coleslaw
Couscous
a bit of leftover ham
I take the above most days, the ham is replaced by cheese or whatever is leftover, could be chicken etc
And everyone at work says ohhhh that looks lovely and goes out and buys plastic tubs containing......oh what I have in mine lol aparently they can't do it cos it takes too long, I timed myself this morning making lunch, took me 7 mins including chopping up fruit for a lunch time 'pudding'whoever said laughter was the best medicine has clearly never tasted wine

English Breakfast Salad
Bag of mixed leaves, wafer thin slivers of red onion, cucumber for me, thin slices of apple and carrot.
I use large "steaks" of bacon recovered from Sainsbury's cooking bacon. I grill one-between-two til crispy then slice thinly. I grill 2halves of tomato each at the same time. For OH I do a semi-soft boiled egg. Some times I add sautee pots
Scrummy and a bit different
I like a walnut oil and white wine vinegar dressing with a touch of dijon.:D
