Thanks yellowmonkey of course you can come on here to see how I'm doing?..I'm certainly not going back there....anyone is welcome here....
Well day 8 today and feeling a lot better.DH and I went to town and he got a bargain electronic chess set for himself for in the cab £3.75 in the charity shop so that should keep him occupied whilst quiet. He also treated us to a mixed grill each as he'd saved loads on what he was going to pay originally....we walked to town and I paid for the cab back....
I also treated myself to a pair of trainers £55.99 in the sale ...they are nike + ones that you put a chip from your i-pod into and it tells you how far you have run....calories burned etc...I don't even have an i-pod...LOL....
Seeing as I have saved £70 by not smoking and won £1k....I feel justified in spending that ...I am going to start going to the gym as I want to shed 7stone...so that is another challenge..I'm not going on some silly diet either...I am going to eat 3 meals a day and exercise!!!!
Nothing else to report at the moment..so hope everyone has had a good day.0 -

Hi taxi. Well done on the smoking - and the trainers. Are you going to run as well as going to the gym?Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620

Hi you 2....the nearest I'll get to running is walking fast on the treadmill I'm afraid until I lose about 5 stones.Wish i could run but that's another challenge.
Guilt free spending on the trainers ...should really of paid it off debt but never mind.
I feel very positive actually as well which is good..I was looking in Monsoon today and don't they have some lovely clothes (for when I'm slimmer)?...quite expensive though...
I'm going to the gym tomorrow....haven't decided what I'll do yet though..will let you all know tomorrow what I've done.
take care xx0 -
Well given the speed you pay off debts, you'll probably lose 5 stone pretty quickly too! Definitely guilt-free spending on the trainers and if they help you feel positive and get fit that's just as good as paying off debt.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620

Just had to justify it to myself as that's how trying to become debt free gets you!!!!....Debt busting is definitely easier than trying to lose weight though..it would be great if I could do it quickly but realistically a couple of ponds a week would probably stay off.
How's things with you?..0 -
I'm good thanks. Just sold 4 things on ebay tonight, made £37.70 and am agonising on whether to pay it off debt or into savings. A drop in the ocean whichever!Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620

Well done..it's whatever would make you feel happiest..that's the right thing. It's still £37.70 you didn't have before whatever way you look at it....0

Morning all,
Not a lot to report.I have just applied for a virgin card and got a limit of £8k so will pay either one of my loans off or stooze it into my offset..not sure yet....
Day 9 of not smoking and feel absolutely fine.Have done all my clicks etc, and am going to go to the bank in a minute to pay in the take and to see a mate and will walk there even though it is raining.
Have a good day everyone..take care xx0
