I just need to chase up a magazine subscription that was meant to send a refund cheque..forgot about that one.

Blimey, taxi - I just got back on the site after feeling really rough and cancelling all sorts of stuff (including the dfw meet today in London, sob, tho I haven't actually posted that yet) and I've just seen your £1k win! Fantastic!!! That really puts you on, doesn't it! Good for you.

  • Your win will pale into insignificance if you can keep of the fags. Well done on both btw but especially the not smoking. You will save £3500 a year if you are on 40 a day. That's like winning a grand nearly every 3 months:D

Seriously though well done. I forget how hard it was for me to stop sometimes.

    Hi Karmacat and everyone,
Karmacat sorry to hear that you have cancelled loads of stuff and I hope you feel better soon...it's upsetting having to cancel stuff isn't it?..hope everything gets better for you soon hun....and hugs from here.
Not going to work today and instead am going to town to pick up DHs rings that he had resized and to put the takings in the bank.
Day 6 of not smoking and am getting quite a cold now ...think I may just crack it this time!!!
I have loads of housework to do so am planning on doing some of that later...can't do a lot of it during the day as DH is in bed due to working nights.....I can only do the quieter stuff......
Will get dressed in a minute and pop to town then I can come back and do some of the quieter stuff...looks like a lovely day anyway and the fresh air will do me good...
Think my concentration level feels better than a couple of days ago anyway...that's a withdrawal effect not a senile effect by the way.....LOL...
Have a good day everyone xx

Thanks BTM....sorry you posted while I was posting....Not smoking will save loads and it's a holiday in the carribean ....what better motive....
It isn't as hard now regarding the cravings....it's the headaches and flu like symptoms and the worst is my concentration level as I really need that for work.
DH is very understanding and says I have to stay off until I feel better...
Will try for monday...no big loss as weekend days aren't brilliant...and I'm getting the night take.
Hope you have a good take and be safe x

Hi everyone....I don't know what I'll do with the win yet as the giving up smoking as left me feeling a bit ill so I have had a couple of days off work...theres a lot of jiggling about of different accounts and a lot of stuff going on here over the next month or so...
I have £600 to pay on the windows thursday but have that here...beginning of may need £1300 for door that is in DHs account...I have MS in full £106....Amex in full £532....then next month Amex in full about £3.5k...this is coming from DHs account, holiday money and tax money and my account....
then all the normal loans and bills coming out and then I'm on an even keel..then....
I confuse myself somedays....so may or may not treat myself ....will probably overpay most of it on bills.
But after about the 20th May I will know what I'm overpaying as my holiday, windows and doors will all have been paid for..IYSWIM...
Then I can concentrate on paying the CCs off ...and start making overpayments on my shiny new mortgage.
Still got my books to do and all my housework...so must crack on with something.

Well you got me confused taxi :D I have lots of pots to pay things from but in my head it is all organised, although I'm sure OH wouldn't have a clue if I explained him.

We have a load to pay out for in the next 2 months:- holiday, 2 weddings, London and have littles slots in my brain where it is all organised, hope it all goes to plan though

    Have a lovely weekend x
