  • Well done mate. That's you got the nicotine out your system. Now you just need to break the smoking habits you had, likes of having one after eating etc. It's not easy but you are through the two hardest days. Keep it up. You can't stop now or we will all give you a hard time:D

Thanks you 3..it's nice that you are all getting me through it...
ISOM..I don't have a quitmeter on here ..the mortgage will be fine...I got hold of the solicitors secretary who said she'd also spoke to them and that they'd promised to fax the redemption statement to her by close of business today and if they did that it could get sorted tomorrow....I just need to know if I need to pay anything and drop it off to them if I do IYSWIM....and wanted to do it while I was off...I've signed a deed thingy ages ago so don't know what the next step is I think it's only a case of getting the funds from Abbey now which it was all approved januaury....
Having a cig won't change anything so I will just ride the storm!!!!
BTM ...will the nicotine be out of my body as I'm using patches?...it's the habit thats hard to break isn't it?..the few times I have had a fleeting thought of having one it's been like you say after a meal...or walking back from town etc..but thankfully they are fleeting...I know you'll all lynch me if I have one so I won't be!!!
Seaxwyn it's going fine thanks and nice to see you've sorted your mortgage out and your new card..well done
Nothing to report really. So will go and have a look around the boards

More chilled than normal...perhaps the smoking was causing me more stress!!!!...I'm coming to the conclusion me getting angry about incompetent people just wastes my energy and doesn't solve anything as they are incompetent a nyway!!!
I lodged my complaint with bristol and west and won't be charged the extra interest as it's not my fault their systems were down 2 days.I will hear about that within 15 days....
off to work in the morning so will give me something to do.

    Hi everyone,
Been a alright kind of a day here...a bit mixed but plenty of things sorted...
Firstly, I haven't smoked...so well done me!!!...I went to work but ende up with quite a headache by about 10.30am and more than a little bored as by then it was quiet...So to keep myself amused I filled the car..went food shopping and then to the library and got 6 books to keep me occupied at work in the quiet times....so that was a bit productive.
I phoned the solicitor and my other mortgage is now paid off and I have a nice new shiny one that I'll be able to overpay. The solicitor is also sending me £400 odd pound she wasn't quite sure how much as that is being done at the moment.
have just phoned the Abbey and had a lovely conversation with them...my 1st payment due 1st May is slightly less than a full payment and the june payment is only £509.10.....I think I made the right choice with this tracker as when I sorted it in in January the payments would've been £524.99..so already saving on this deal...it guarantees to follow BOE rates plus 0.49% and has had 2 rate cuts since jan....it's a lifetime tracker as well so I don't need to remortgage again and I want rid of it as soon as possible anyway...
I only started my mortgage 5 years ago on a 25 year term and have now took it on a 10 year term...so if all else fails then I will be rid in ten anyway...
Quite a positive day today then..take care xx

    Hi Taxi,

Glad to hear you got the mortgage sorted. They can be soooo stressfull so well done for coping with this on top of giving up the cigs.

Before you know it you will have been a non smoker for a week, then 2, then a month.

    Well done:beer:
