I second that regarding the time in here ..I spend far too much of it on here and need to cut back a bit as I want to start going to the gym a few times a week and get fit and lose weight.
There is so much to learn on this site and I find something new every day also. You have done really well with all that you've achieved and it won't be long until you are debt free ..it must feel good being that close

    Hi guys

Just trying to catch up on some more diaries - completely agree about how much there is to learn on the site, I *know* I'm not doing everything I could (probably cos I'm sitting here reading diaries, lol). But it really helps to know that other people feel the same way I do about being in debt, and work out ways to get it down. Taxi, you've got some great news here, I'm happy for you.

Hi everyone..nice to see you here Karma...nothing much to report today. Just the usual mundane things.
Been to work and it was quietish but the weather has been lovely.Am back home and DH has made tea...I've sorted the bank money out ready for tomorrow and have just put the washing on..am off to have a nice relaxing bubble bath after...what an exciting life I lead.
I'm seriously considering giving up smoking tomorrow but am nervous about it...I smoke more when I'm bored...
If I give up tomorrow I will have to do something to occupy myself so will go the gym.I will have to get books from the library to read while in the cab...

    Hi Taxi
Good luck with the giving up smoking:T Was going to suggest looking on the stop smoking thread but see you have already posted:o .
Are you stopping altogether or cutting down gradually? Just imagine how the saved cash could impact on your debts/mortgage,or pay for your next holiday:D

    Hi SMum,
Stopping altogether and panicing to tell you the truth!!!!...shows how hooked i am....don't know what I'll do with the cash yet but if I have an idea then that might keep me motivated.
Thanks for wishing me luck as I really do need it

40 a day savings would probably almost pay off halifax by xmas without any other payments;)
And you could post on the what small thing thread how much you have saved each day, I'm sure you will find lots of ways to motivate yourself.
    Reduce,re-use, recycle.

That's a good idea to post it on there as that will keep me motivated...thanks for that!!!..it's a pity that I can't fit it in my sig...as seeing at the bottom of there will keep me motivated as well...it won't let me do a long line like your bottom one..may have to have a play around !!!

Good luck Taxi, you can do it! My OH gave up in 2006 after over 30 years of serious addiction. He went to a support group and used the patches and that worked for him. Make sure to find whatever support you need.

Morning Mrs T! Great that youre giving up smoking! I wont be far behind you and am cutting down already...will be worth it in feeling better & saving money! Plus the smell yuck! Cant stand it...Have you got some strategies for quitting? Any nicotenine replacements? You can get them on prescription if thats any help? Great here because presc are free so saves quite a bit but even if not free still saves money! Keep us posted! Good luck with the gym too but dont overdo it!
