    Hi everyone,
I've had a good day off today ..very busy but enjoyable....I filled the car, then went to the bank, then paid off my holiday (netting over £141 in cashback and £25 of nectar points..lol)....then dropped paperwork off at job centre....then had my hair coloured and cut and then used the voucher DD bought me for my birthday for a eyebrow, chin and lip wax .....
I will pay the CC bill in full on the 18th May for the holiday...
The new door is ordered....the windows will be fitted about the 10th April and then my fitter is on holiday so my door will be fitted 1st week in May....so thats all in hand.
The money hasn't arrived in DHs account yet but it isn't needed until the 10th next month.
Will update my sig soon to add the extra debt...for the MBNA card but that is only window and door money and the difference between the holiday and savings...so what I would've saved towards these I will pay as overpayments..so whereas it looks like more debt it isn't IYSWIM...
    take care xx

    Morning all,
One of my loans has just gone out (£196.60) so I've updated my sig.Checked online banking and the money has gone into DHs account so that can just sit there until needed.
Haven't got plans yet for today but it is my day off and have dentist at 2pm...apart from that no idea yet..lol...
So hope you all have a good day.

One good thing about your total going back up is that you're back on a par with me again!
    Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.62

You're back in front of me now..LOL....it was gutting to put it up to over £30k again but it has gained me a lot of money back and is money that would have been spent over the year IYSWIM so am ok with it.
  • Hi Taxi at least the new debt is 'good debt' and you will have your new door and windows which will save you in heating bills I'm guessing. And at the rate you were saving it its swings and roundabouts really its just means you are using the 'lending sytem' to your advantage for a change but you already know that, thats why you are not really worried.

I've taken a leaf out of your book and started a new bathroom fund because my last bit of debt is on 0% so if I waited to pay that off then I would just borrow again for the bathroom IYSWIM so I will pay the 0% at 100 per month and anything else goes to the bathroom pot. So thanks for the idea.

    Hi Keepingmotivated and all,
Firstly, keepingmotivated you explained that so well and that is the reason I'm not worried about it as you say it's not bad debt so am happy about it.Thanks for that..your bathroom firm is looking good as well so well done you..thats another one on my list but not this year....it's nice to see I've at least helped somebody as thats what we are all here for.
I've had a great day today....I went to the dentist and he said I needed a filling and I said I'm not paying £43.60 for it to fall out again so he did it and only charged me the £15.60 for check up ,scale and polish and filling ..so very DFW....
Then DH and I went into town and I spent my £50 Evans voucher on 2 tops and a bra...I needed to put £8 to it.....then I went in boots and I had a load of vouchers but didn't end up using them as the stuff was vastly reduced so I will use them another day...I got a voucher for a free soap if I bought something else in the range so I bought another soap ..so used that voucher (saving £1.50)...I bought 3 no 7 nail sets(4 nail varnishes and nail bits in a case)...advertised at £10 each took them to the counter and they were £2.50 and 3for 2..so £5 in total for 3 and £6.50 for the total bill....I have a voucher for 150 points on £20 spend and double points voucher and 500 points on no7 ...couldn't use them as they were reduced items but will use them another day.
I bought a first aid kit for the cab reduced from £9.00 to £6.50 in Tchibo so can claim this money from the council.
Then I bought DGs christmas present from Argos for £25 with nectar points from paying for my holiday yesterday so that was in effect free..it was a build up boat thingy reduced From £34.99 to £24.99....then I spotted a ark and castle with figures reduced from £29.99 to £14.99 so bought this for his birthday and paid on american express so 5% cashback....so think I have done well today....lol....
Hope everyone else has had a good day xx
