  • Hi Taxi

Shame about the takings... Just shows what I know about the taxi business, I would have thought that it would have been busy this weekend!

Oh well I suppose thats the joys of being self employed sometimes you make a killing sometimes you don't. Enjoy your day off x
  • Hi Taxi Happy Easter, even if it's not a profitable.
Glad you have had a relaxing day congratulations on DD's engagement:beer:

    Hi everyone,
Well I fell asleep from early doors until 11pm and am wide awake now...what am I like!!!!!
Puzzledbubbles...welcome nice to see you ...don't know what help I've given you but your welcome and pop by anytime ...more the merrier..
Keeping motivated...I had an idea it would be quiet due to easter being early , the kids not being off for school holidays, the weather forecast and a lot of people not due to be paid until this week...so it was all against me really!!!...I will catch up with myself as next weekend should be busy.I like being self employed though sometimes and at others wonder why I do it but overall it's the best for me..
Thanks Kizzy ...I will get them a bottle of champers tomorrow and a card...as they are coming tomorrow teatime...

    HI ISOM and everyone...
You ask what I'm up to today?...got to do some washing etc...I will also be going to Morrissons for bits of shopping and a bottle of chamapagne and card for DDs engagement and also a bottle of brandy for SIL birthday(that was saturday) but thats what he'd like ..he said he didn't want anything at first but we agreed on this ...so I will use my morrissons vouchers £30 towards this..so that will cut my bill down.
Then later I will start getting through my paperwork....accounts are due soon so will make a start but I have paperwork everywhere.
Not only did I sleep all those hours until 11pm...I then went back to bed at 1.30am and didn't get up until 9.30am...I must have been really tired.
Will have to get on now and have this brew and go out or else I'll get nothing done.

I made a really good start on my accounts yesterday - they run so far to 13 pages of A4!!!!!!!

I will carry on with them after holiday - I have done the majority of the difficult stuff, so will be able to finalise them with another full day's work on them, I think.

I decided to do it myself rather than pay for an accountant.......so being very DFW!! (although lack of organisation was one reason for not having an accountant - I was never ready with my paperwork when she called for it :o )

Well done...I'd be lost without mine as I don't know how to calculate the loan interest or how to work out how much to claim towards the car....and of course he's tax deductible....
Basically all I do (and hes happy with it) is to sort all bank statements receipts into monthly see through folders...and then have set of papers listing incomings and another for outgoings....
Then he goes through the lot ...they look good and I sign and pay...lol...
He says I'm a lot more organised than most of the cab drivers..lol...and that I give him more detail....so I leave him to it

Hiya you two! I'm back from my skiing holiday refreshed but broke. I have no idea how big the credit card bill will be as everything was in Euros. Need to get back into debt-busting mode fast.

Taxi, I can't read through everything I missed so I have to ask - has DD's OH had the results from his tests yet?
    Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.62
