Afternoon all,
thought I'd just get on here before little man comes...he'll be here at just after 3pm so thought that I'd just pop on while I can.DHs birthday today I have got him a card and we went for a meal last week but we won't let me buy him a pressie...a card doesn't seem enough though as he does so much for me.
He had a good present last year for his 50th I took him to India for a month and for christmas I bought him one of those recorder boxes that are freeview channels and that you can record the programmmes..he can then edit them on the PC and burn them...I think it's called a PVR...
Went to pick up the mystery package and it was a water filter jug a freebie that was advertised on here ..I'd forgotten about it as it was about 3 months ago...not a lot in the post today but another letter from solicitors asking us to sign and send back something called a mortgage deed...everyone has been so efficient and am really impressed....
Nothing happening around here and I hope the weather is a bit better over the weekend as me and little man want to go out and have some fun...don't know what yet but we'll do something.0 -
Tried to tidy my sig as best I can is that right do you think0

Taxi, that is the best thing I have heard in ages. I am so glad for you. And it's well deserved, you've been such an inspiration on here.
Just catching up on the last few days (bloomin' work getting in the way of MSE!!) and just wanted to echo what Seaxwyn said earlier.
Hope things continue in the same way for the rest of the year :T :TSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -

Hope you have a fab time with DGS - lovely pressie for OH - trip to India & a dvd thingy! Lovely! You sound like you have a lovely relationship! Hope I manage to get one as close! Big hugs! Knee OK but pision suggested a way of getting rid of pain is to release the fluid with big needle!! Eek but seriously considered it this eve as I walked up the stairs feeling like a 90 yr old!!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Evening Hypno and all,
Thankyou very much for those nice comments. ISOM I think you are right in that it's probably me coming down from sorting stuff and feel there is no more to do.I'm going to take Hypnos Stance and start doing meal plans and I do feel its my lucky year as it may now be the time that I can sort things out finally.
ISOM that needle sounds bad..yuck but I do hope your knee gets better soon as there is nothing worse than being in constant pain.
DGS went to bed at 6.30pm and went straight off and myself I fell asleep on the couch until about 40 mins ago!!!!!!...must've needed the sleep....He's just been down for a nappy change and a glass of water...and is now safely tucked back up in DDs double bed along with her..just had a listen at the bottom of the stairs and both seem quiet. I hope the weather is better tommorrow as trying to keep a little one quiet while grandad sleeps is near impossible...will get back on tomorrow maybe after 7pm when he's in a bed as I don't think laptops and 3 years olds mix...lol
Have a good weekend...take care xx0 -
Hi taxi... you tidied your sig.... did you read the thing at the top of the forum about sigs from 1 Feb? 5 lines, 300 characters (I think). Not a lot! Mine's 7 lines, & I'm sure its way more than 300. I *like* having a lot of that stuff on!2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Hi Karmacat...I sure did read that..it panicked me a bit as well..didn't count the letters..if it disappears I'll be stuck so guess I'll have to write the figures in my notebook before next week so that I have a copy incase I have to do it again.Mine was about 9 or 10 lines.0

Evening all,
Forgot how hard it is looking after a 3 year old!!!!..where does he get all that energy?
Well after getting up about midnight for a nappy change and his aunty taking him back to bed with her..he didn't go back to sleep and came downstairs at 2.45am ..nappy needed doing and would he go back to bed...NO>>>...I changed him again gave him a drink and a yoghurt as figured he could've been hungry as he'd had tea about 5pm and he decided it was playtime for me him and grandad...grandad was exhausted by 4am so went to his bed...DGS had other ideas so I then spent until 6.30am trying to get him to sleep on the couch only to wake at 9am..raring to go...
He was at nursery all day yesterday then played here then walked to the shops and back with me so should've run out of steam...today I gave him his breakfast and then took him for a long walk then shopping back home to play bath and now in bed...hope he stays there as I'm shattered!!!!
I've got the washing on now so thought I'd pop on here while I can....wouldn't mind I had 5 kids and 3 were seriously hyperactive and he puts those 3 to shame and he doesn't get any additives either...wouldn't swap him for the world as he isn't naughty...he's very good but energy I don't know where he gets that..lol....0
