..don't know whether to laugh or cry!!!!!!!
Then laugh. The increase in your sig will only be temporary and the numbers will soon start tumbling again. Just remember how much you paid off last year, and that was despite taking several months off for your operation. This is only a little blip in the big picture.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -
I would laugh as you are coping with your troubles admirably. I think you have done very well, and it will go back down when the insurance pays it back..the important thing is that you have gone forwards, inspite of the setbacks..well done!Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Thanks you two ...I will get there in the end I know but it's just frustrating ..lol0

aww hugs - it IS frustrating but youre still managing to pay extra off despite the nightmare of the last week! Do try the lobings its fab! Hope all of it (hire car too!) is sorted soon. When the insurance pays out will they cover the loss between old taxi & new on as an insured loss? Worth asking the sols what thy think and I would have thought now that they have accepted liability that they would want to end it as quickly and amicabally as possible & when you take into account thats its your livlihood must be sommat they pay plus with the tax break hopefully you wont be too out of pocket? Regardless the debt will come down as your invincible so keep plodding!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0

Hi You two....ISOM my frustration is because they WILL NOT pay THE DIFFERENCE....the insurance are going to pay me a total of £8300 for the car but I owe over £9000 on finance and I have had to start again with a new car..that is why I'm so angry....they will pay for the hire car, storage etc...DHs loss of earnings and two days loss of earnings for me so I am about £5k out of pocket!!!!!.....there is no law in this land that says any of us should be in the same position as we started in a no fault accident.....and in order for me to contest it means I have to pay the solicitors and court fees up front myself as it's never been challenged....you'd think it would be an uninsured loss but it isn't.
Lobbing stones could be a good idea but I'd get in trouble lobbing them through her window.0 -

:rotfl:)
Definitely laugh - you are on a downward trend and are in control of things. Imagine if this had happened before you started your DFW journey? Much much worse. Now it is frustrating and upsetting but something you can and will recover from. Then it would've been complete disaster. You've come a long way!0 -
I agree with mizmir......
.....but equally, just think how it would have been if you were almost debt free........all those years of slogging away.......with only 1 monthly payment left........and then you had to add all that money back onto your signature!!!! Gutting!!!!!
So, right now is perfect timing really........:rolleyes:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -

Can I still lob it through her window?....joking I think...
I will never be truly debt free for the rest of my life I don't think as taxis need replacing every so many years...in time though I may have saved enough to pay cash outright.
Heres my list today: not as long as others granted but will take me ages
(1) go to work
(2) get the accounts done ASAP as our loss of earnings etc rely on this...you can't imagine how much paperwork I have to sort through......ahhhhhhhhhhhhh...so tonight I start....binbags and shredder ready.....pen paper and calculator ...ready....
My aim is to have all paperwork shredded/sorted tonuight and all figures on paperwork tomorrow.
Have a good day everyone...I'm off to work now0
