    Hiya Taxi,

Just popping in to see how you're doin' before dragging my lazy procrastinating bottom over to eBay for a listing frenzy! :D

This fuel thing's a bit of a worry huh? My hubby has bene seriously loking at how hard it would be to convert to vegetable oil, and where we'd store it etc. He only does about 600 - 700 miles a week but if he can't get fuel - or we can't afford it - it's going to be a big problem. Even worse for you hon. I hope you're not too stressed out about it.

I'm glad to see from the £20k thread that you're still plugging away. I don't usually update until the end of the month but I've already done my sig to show that I'm over the half way mark. We might actually do this eh? ;)

Take care sweets. I hope the exam result comes in soon.

    Love Jacks xxx :D

Thanks Dragon and Jacks...DH has just phoned me to say that he has had an excellent report from them and so he should as he's only been driving a taxi for 27 years..if he doesn't know what he's doing now he never will!!!!!.....
The assessor said that they had expected the results to be in by now but because there are literally millions of taxi drivers all over the country having to do this exam(or lose their badges) the exam board has loads to mark so this is probably the reason for the delay but they will phone us as soon as they get the results!!!..annoying though...
Well done Jacks on getting past the halfway mark and you are right we will probably do it...The fuel is a worry as without it we have no income at all...I will fill up first thing tomorrow again as that is the quietest time..the queues are pretty big at the garages during the day...so I have to keep my fingers crossed everyday at the minute...have a good evening everyone xx

:T:T:T well done taxi and mr taxi on the tests - of course you were going to sail it with your combined experience - but good to have them over - for now at least! Hope the results come in soon too - am sure they'll be fine for you. Have a beer on me

Well done you!!!! And well done Mr Taxi!!! No surprise of course, we knew you'd be fine. I feel reassured that if I ever take a taxi, I will be in very safe hands with the amount of tests you drivers have to pass.

Wel done to you & Mr Taxi on the tests and hope that its all done soon for youboth as sure its causing anxiety even though I'm sure you;ll be fine! Had to "spend" two two pound coins tonight cos the taxi driver had no change and he just didnt get that this was mightily distressing for lil ole me!! Will put the two left in the pot!! Well done on the overpayment & DO have a line for it as sure it will be a boost for you seeing the totals go down...hang in there!

  • I knew you could do it ..well done. A good point made by jacks before, hadn't thought about veg oil.

I am sure the report will be great. x

Thanks everyone....we will have both sailed through the NVQ that's the driving and classroom based stuff....it's the BTEC part where we had to have the written exam that we are not sure of(the one that we have to have the exam results for)...he told my DH and I that there was nothing he could teach us about our jobs..but I'm not convinced we have passed that exam thingy and without that we will lose our license.
Hope everyone has a good day I will catch up later with your diaries...take care xx

Hi Taxi - I thought I posted yesterday to say well done on the driving tests, but I can't see it so perhaps I was more asleep than I thought!

Anyway, I am sure you will be fine with the exam. I have every faith in you.

    Have a good day x

The kettle I would class as a "need" rather than a "must have" so I will allow you that one :rotfl:, not sure about the phones though :rotfl:
