I see. The bank statements you provided - did they specifically ask for these and how many months did they ask for?TottieW said:
I think the second one appeared on my bank statements. They've asked for nothing else other than the Accountat's certificate - though I'd happily supply contracts, remittance advice, more bank statements etc.
Out of interest what other documents did Santander ask for other than the accountants certificate for income and the projections for your contracts?
Also, how do they know if you took the grants or not as they do not have access to customers HMRC login to see?0 -
3 months worth

Did they request them automatically or was it part of proving your contracts? ThanksTottieW said:

I had to submit that on initial application via the mortgage brokerdavetherave85 said:

Ok, was curious as they didn’t ask for them on our application but it wasn’t through a broker.TottieW said:

My partner and I also had to provide 3 months bank statements each, via the broker at the initial application stage.davetherave85 said:

I work at the NHS too although a single applicant, I didn’t have any further questions other than the broker clarifying that My employment wasn’t impacted due to COVID, so quite straightforward, and got my offer two days earlier than the projected timeframes 😊SenseandSensibility said:Thank you both for your replies. It’s surprising and somewhat unreasonable for them to ask you to predict the future stability of your job (I read a post a few pages back in which someone was asked to provide confirmation from their employer that they wouldn’t be made redundant!), no one can know in these times what may happen 6 months - a year down the line, and I can’t imagine many employers would willingly predict future circumstances. My husband and I are both employed in full-time permanent NHS jobs, so hopefully that will provide some evidence of stability.0 -
That’s great to hear! What time frame were you given, out of interest? Our MB predicted 3-4 weeks (she submitted our application on 15.10), so hopefully not too long to wait.Fendal71 said:

My application was submitted on the 14th Sept, underwriter on the 18th September and I got my offer on the 14th October, so all in it was 23 working days. My broker had expected it back quicker as there was so little to underwrite, but didn’t factor in the demand! Hopefully you won’t have to long, and as I said earlier they review my case quicker than the quoted SLA dates. Keeping everything crossed for you 🤞SenseandSensibility said:

I never thought I'd look forward to Mondays! My father in laws place exchanged on Friday so the mortgage offer is hopefully our last big hurdle and am hoping to hear something from the underwriters this week....so much that can go wrong I don't know how people put themselves through this on a regular basis 😂0
