Hi,
we have Put an application in via a broker on the 13th October so a day after you...received a text to say application received, and a hard search has shown on Experian from the 13th too...no other word as of yet, judging by this thread it probably won’t be soon either 🙈 Helps to know your not alone! fastbs said:Hi all,
our application was submitted on Monday. I know it is going to be a long wait from here but I was just wondering how soon after did people hear anything back? More questions, valuation results etc?
thanks!

That is good to know! Exactly the same as us, got text and can also see hard and soft searches on Experian. Hopefully we aren’t waiting too long 🤞🏼helpmegodplease said:Hi,

Hi all - we are awaiting a response from our application submitted on Tuesday 12th Oct! We have both used our new contracts as proof of income - has anyone else used this and if so, how were they around it? how did the process go?0

Straight forward enough. Both of us are full time employed, both sectors not affected by COVID. However we were using a personal loan towards the deposit so I thought that might have complicated it. Our broker was great though and was very thorough so he had everything preparedfastbs said:
Was your application fairly straight forward I’m guessing?xNaomi said:

Hi just wondering if you had heard anything regarding your offer, we applied on the same day as you and had our last question 9 working days ago now and still havnt heard anythingftbjfs said:
Thanks. I am hoping that it will be an offer for us. They have seen all of our docs, valuation etc and have come back asking specific qs twice. I am assuming that they wouldn't be asking specific details if they weren't happy re affordability and valuation etc. What you think?TottieW said:
It looks like it's taking 5-6 days to respond to each new document or answer supplied. I sent new info on the 13th, so am imagining that I'll hear again at the beginning of next week (although not necessarily with an offer)ftbjfs said:Any idea when we will next hear!?

Our application was submitted yesterday (FTB, 75% LTV with Help to Buy loan and both in full-time employment with the NHS), and we haven’t yet heard anything. We checked our credit files for indications of searches and couldn’t find any either, which surprised us, considering several people on here had searches undertaken the day after their application was submitted.0

Hard search was 3 days later for us.SenseandSensibility said:Our application was submitted yesterday (FTB, 75% LTV with Help to Buy loan and both in full-time employment with the NHS), and we haven’t yet heard anything. 21st Sept-appt with mortgage broker, 22nd Sept- soft search on experian
25th Sept - hard search on experian
28th Sept- paid product fee and text from Santamder to say application received
8th Oct- valuation completed amd received by Santander
13th Oct- questions from Santander via the broker. Responded immediately. Some of the same questions again sent today via the broker. Called the woman from the mortgage brokers she hadn't scrolled down the length of the email to see we had already answered what was asked.
And now we wait.......0 -

Thanks, that's good to know. Did experien notify you when searches were undertaken? We use Credit Monitor, so not sure whether to expect the same. Our MB advised that Santander are currently one of the faster working lenders (she estimated a 3-4 week timeline), though reading some of the experiences on here, I'm now not so sure.
