We received confirmation last night that our revised mortgage offer had been approved via our broker, so that took 3 weeks 2 days.
Good luck all and hope you hear soon.

Jillmoneysaver - am with Halifax and HSBC atm. I used to have a mortgage with Santander but atm shopping around for remortgage.
whirlwind92 - desktop valuation for Santander is very common, I had two desktop valuations done for my mortgage and remortgage, nothing to worry about.
All the best for you folks

Jillmoneysaver said:So Lumiona, your application went with the underwriters on 19th July? The queue is 9 days long and the timeline on the website for Santander says they are working on applications put in the queue on 15th Jully... so yours would not be up yet. It gives me some hope as apparently, ours went back to the queue today... I'm at the end of my rope.

Lumiona that's wonderful news! Congrats.
We've just had our offer come through! What a long wait, so relieved!2 -

Considering that yesterday we were told it was back in the 9 working day queue, we were pleasantly surprised and pleased! Each time, its gone back and it has been exactly 9 working days until we heard again... for another query about something they already had or knew. We have good credit, no adverse whatsoever, good, full-time jobs (salary of over 110k combined). The stress they put us under was insane.0

Great news Jill!!
I have heard back today as wellmortgage approved! but of course, subject to the valuation which I am told will be on August 3rd.
Fingers crossed until then !
I also went direct, without a broker and I was actually exactly 1 day behind you Lumiona in terms of timing: applied on July 9th, went to the underwriters on July 20th, and mortgage got approved today on July 29th.
I think that the timeframe outlined on the Santander for intermediaries website only really just apply to applications via brokers. It would appear that it is faster when applied directly without a broker...

Whirlwind - that is good information for next time! IF I ever have the energy to withstand a next time.0

Hello everyone
I have a strange question for you!
When Santander sends you the mortgage illustration/confirmation by the post, does the enveloppe indicates anywhere what it is about? e.g. Santander Mortgage stamp on the enveloppe.
Thanks a lot!
