Congratulations 🥳vixst said:Good news for myself - we received our mortgage offer documentation (via email, hard copy in post to follow). Seems Santander must have done a desktop valuation or a drive-by at the most. Valuation must have come back fine as they have offered the full amount we applied for. Our application was submitted by our broker (online broker, starts with H and ends with o..!) on 31 May and we received the offer documentation today. Have to say I'm pleased with how smooth it's been.
Really sorry for the rest of you still waiting. Fingers crossed and hang on in there!1

We got told we had been approved by underwriters at the start of the week, rang for update for offer being sent out today and they’ve said it’s been sent to senior underwriter to issue offer!? What does this mean? Is it being reviewed again or will they actually send an offer? As far as I aware agreed mean agreed but now I’m not sure!0

Sometimes they just run a final credit check to make sure your circumstances haven't changed or you haven't applied for any unsecured debt in the period between agreement and issuance but that would be it from my perspective.kaylou88 said:We got told we had been approved by underwriters at the start of the week, rang for update for offer being sent out today and they’ve said it’s been sent to senior underwriter to issue offer!? Hi,
Congrats to all who have received their offers!
We are still waiting to hear from Santander. It's been just over 3 weeks since the application was submitted by the broker who says the paperwork is currently sitting with the underwriter. The vaulation was done beginning of this week and I hear the report came back. My husband's on a fixed term contract but they haven't requested any docs regarding this yet, however had requested other supporting docs.
Is it me or is the process taking long? Has anyone been in a similar situation?
I just want to know the outcome already, the waiting is killing me!0

Hi, I am in a similar situation as you, applied by broker on 20 May, valuation done 9 June, they requested some information and currently status is passed to underwriting. They are much slower than last time I applied 5 years ago. They only started the underwriting on 6 June so for over two weeks since the application they did nothing but sitting on the files. I guess we all just have to be patient.Ameba said:Hi,

Many thanks for your reply! It's reassuring we are not the only ones! To be honest, I have also started to lose patience although I am normally a patient person. The fact they sat on the file for two weeks is very frustrating. Let's keep each other updated.Ameba said:

For me it's the fact that they request additional info at random, even if it falls under the same category say income. Definitely! Let's post updates.Purlain said:

Are people finding it's taking a while for Santander to book in valuations? (They use Countrywide don't they)0

I’ve had my application accepted and waiting on the valuation. Good luck!Emeralds22 said:Has anyone applied with 5% deposit and been accepted?0
