  • I received an email on Sunday, Oct. 17 requesting meter readings (two as I have Economy 7). These are recorded correctly on my online account information along with my payment history, but, as yet, there is no bill. I read my meters every Sunday and use a spreadsheet to calculate my spend but I would like to see a bill to confirm that their calculations agree with mine. I would think that this process could be done by computer, without any human intervention, so I fail to understand why it has taken so long.
  • @ivanleo Perhaps there might be a bit of a lull, because the World and his wife are preoccupied with COP26 in Glasgow. The attendees include Mr Main Ofgem, and seemingly 80% of the staff of the BBC. So hopefully other matters may be put on the back burner. As it were. Turn that back burner down, we’re not made of money…

Have you checked the mobile app? My bill showed on there but it doesn’t show on the news n desktop page for some reason

Unfortunately, mobile apps are not something that I do.

I went on supply with NR on 12th October - when will they issue me with the first bill/statement? And what would be the ideal date for me to send my meter reading
My supply started on the 6th of the month. Monthly email reading requests every 6th of the month. Statement about 6 days later.

Neon Reef are now officially at a Level 2 credit default on Elexon (their code is OREG): https://www.bmreports.com/bmrs/?q=balancing/creditdefaultnotice

Some companies have cleared their defaults, others haven't - including NR. That sound you hear may be the bell tolling...
  • Is this company about to go out of business?  I am owed a refund.

That is true, but to be fair, they have not even been in default for 24 hours yet, so it is a little early to be expecting to hear the bell yet...

  • @GingerTim I had not even heard of Elexon until yesterday. For the benefit of other interested parties, this is who they are

‘Elexon is a key cog in the UK’s electricity market, monitoring the electricity generated by power companies, matching that with what National Grid expects to receive and overseeing payments to those generators. It manages the Balancing and Settlement Code (BSC), a legal document to which retail energy suppliers must adhere. Omni Energy, Simply Your Energy, and Maxen Power have just breached the BSC by failing to reduce their credit cover percentage, the ratio of their debt to credit.‘

  • So this seems like dowright scare mongering to me.
