Just received a letter stating that I have a debit of £1.26 from my NR account and to make a payment within 14 days. No details at all on what figures they used, but I'd estimated it would be around £4.brewerdave said:Just updating my spreadsheets for new tariffs and had to add the NR debt on to the carry forward figure .Has ANYONE yet seen their NR debt added to their BG balance ??0 -
I made a BG complaint on April 1 and I have understood that I have to wait eight weeks before going to the Energy Ombudsman, so I shall be doing that on May 26. However, since BG are so poor at issuing bills it is impossible to know what they are actually charging me. They did issue a bill on January 16, which used the charges quoted in the original email.nobby1963 said:Hi All,
can I please ask if there are any ex NR customers who have indeed had their ‘ guaranteed until 31st July ‘ prices extended to that date ?I know that there was one contributor here who had said that they had been told they would have their contract honoured by BG but has anyone else ?I am currently dealing with the Ombudsman and they are asking me if there are others in that situation.
Many Thanks

I had a letter requesting payment today, within 14 days. They haven't added it to my BG account balance and they aren't offering to take it using my direct debit. They are treating it separately. It's using the last bill amount from NR.ZaSa1418 said:I also got an email to say my BG account balance had changed due to Neon Reef balance. I thought we would still have to pay Neon Reef / their administrators/liquidators any outstanding if we weren't in credit?
I left NR and went to PFP in June so I've been solr from PFP. That balance has been added to my BG account and I'll get asked for it next quarterly bill.
Two different ways of dealing with it, both by BG. Depends what's agreed with the administration I suppose.0 -

Is this payable to the administrators of NR ? Didn't you get a final statement after the switch to BG ? My debt to NR is shown as "not invoiced" on my BG balance and agrees with my/NR's calculations.jrio said:

I think the difference between us is that I was already dealing with the BG executive office over the shambles of their handling of the transfer from NR and was able to get the deadlock letter from them very quickly. This I presume is what you are possibly lacking and thus making you have to wait ?Having read the article in the link to Your Money .com it seems that there is now some recognised route that might be worth taking now and not waiting.
The ombudsman stressed to me when I spoke to the investigator on Tuesday / Wednesday that it’s important that BG are consistent in the way they deal with NR former customers so it seems from that article that as long as you can justify your personal loss ( the difference between BG new price and what should have been the guarantee price until July 31st ) there’s a strong case that they would have to compensate you to that value……
Clearly it’s never guaranteed that BG will play ball but that’s now a route I’ll be taking and I will be highlighting the article to the ombudsman now.
Good Luck

Letter received from Scottish Gas this morning insisting I pay £60 they say I owe. The £60 was compensation after failing to refund a closing bill credit. NR sent a FP to my bank and it was shown as an account credit of £64.58, £4.58 credit balance plus the compensation. I have sent a written complaint to BG enclosing a print out of the e-mail trail with Neon Reef complaints telling them to go away. Glad I keep all the old e-mails filed away.

No, it gets paid into a separate BG account. The only info I've had from BG is this and the one payment I made to NR being credited to my BG account.brewerdave said:
