I note that a group of Bulb customers are thinking of crowdfunding to help it survive. Anyone up for doing the same for Neon Reef…?

"Neon Reef are a responsible energy provider and follow the guidelines set by the regulator Ofgem to ensure we review our customers payments to prevent them going into deficit/debt, especially when approaching the winter period. When completing a review, we will use the information we have readily available regarding your expected consumption which is provided by the national database. The national database has all historic information regarding your readings and previous consumption, which helps us project your monthly cost."

Looks like there is a independent national database that should backup your weekly readings anyway.0 -
Yes, mine has finally appeared yesterday, from estimated reading 29 September (I had entered actual on 28th as requested, not sure why they didn't use).OldScientist said:For those worried upthread about a lack of a bill, they do appear to be issuing bills - just had my first one (been a customer since the beginning of October).
We're all electric so our use is very high over winter, but our heating isn’t on yet so already £250 in credit now & getting a bit 'twitchy' over our DD set at £200 a month if they are likely to fail.
Still owed £300 from Green that will take months to receive. I'm taking weekly reads going forward so I know where I am.
I've screenshot the bill via the app, which isn't ideal. Do they email a pdf copy or can you download from the website?0 -
Not sure thats a flyer...we all donate an extra few hundred quid each to watch it all disappear 2 weeks later. Count me out.Deleted_User said:I note that a group of Bulb customers are thinking of crowdfunding to help it survive. Anyone up for doing the same for Neon Reef…?0 -

I did realise that 😅....but some might not although hopefully NR customers aren't as cult like as some Bulb customers seem to be from that forum thread.Deleted_User said:I may not have been serious…0 -
@AbbieCadabra At least you now (hopefully) have confirmation of what rates they are charging you, on an actual bill, rather than just an apparent agreement. Which is what I was keen to receive, despite the naysayers.1

That sounds very... Cult-ish.Deleted_User said:I note that a group of Bulb customers are thinking of crowdfunding to help it survive.0 -
Thank you for that information. I have saved the PDF on my computer. I think that I have a strong case if it goes to the Energy Ombudsman provided that Neon Reef are still in business on 3 Jan. 2022. Maybe Neon Reef will sort it out but I am not holding my breath on that one. Although I submitted meter readings on 17 Oct., I have not yet received a bill. Perhaps because using their estimated readings my night time use would be negative!Jinglish said:@ViperBugloss
