Exactly the same.. no floors, no doors, no kitchen.. the council are doing the empty houses as they are easier as they have noone in them.. disgusting really when you consider how many people are living in practically derelict houses. There was a married couple in paper the other week living in seperate residential homes as there were no double rooms availabel.. they had been married 67 years and never spent a night apart!!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Afternoon all
Been busy today (but house still looks like a tip).
DD wanted to put decs up today so promised we would try and finish tomorrow if need be.
Have walked doogie first in between rain showers down to Aldi first as saw a couple of bits in there I wanted yesterday and couldnt get as DD with me. Also wanted to try and get one of their luxury stuffed turkey crowns as they are delicious but they're not having any more in as they cant get them, so went over to Mr T's and bought a plain crown from there. At least now I know I've got it.
Moved the piano last night so I can put the tree up and the kids have made the walls SOooooo dirty - they lay on the floor to play the PS2 and put their feet up the walls. Scrubbing didnt work so I've just painted the whol room again.
Now off to start cooking the roast chicken dinner and will then have to tidy rest of room for the decs.
Also need to start the washing as no uniforms done yet ! Oh and DD wants to make mince pies that I promised we would do this weekend.
See you later
PS Happy birthday to LJD1 and JJMortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!0 -
Today so far I have..
baked & iced 6 dozen buns.. baked 20 bread bombs for the weeks lunches.. to be frozen and defrosted as required. 7 loads of washing and drying and now it needs folding and putting away which will be done which cooking dinner.
Tonight I am wrapping boxes of presents.
This week I have to complete the christmas shopping.. DD2 mainly. DS1 wants the gym membership so I shall make an appointemnt for a trial session too.
AnWsmum.. I hope the train lights are aceptable. ((hugs))
Right.. back to the kitchen for me.. one good thing.. my kitchen will be clean for tomorrow.. because I won't be getting anything done then as I am at school most of the day helping set up tables etc. Quite how I get myself into this stuff is beyond me!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

:bdaycake:Happy Birthday Juliejim and LJD
Big puppy is in his crate. It cost me £50 that I don't have, but it gives us both a break.
Today I have tidied, cleaned and sorted our bedroom. Just need a strong person to vacuum for me.
Leg of lamb in the oven. Potatoes peeled and other vegetables ready to be chopped up.
I have cheated and started on the kitchen today as I don't know if I am home alone with the crazy animal tomorrow and attempting to get things done.
I bought packs of bin ends books and have found I have about ten that are totally useless to me as I don't know anyone who would want them, e.g. a book about Spurs! Maybe time to do more freecycling.
Enjoy the last of your weekend folks!business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

Right.. kitchen wiped down.. I dropped a bun in the cocoa powder so HAD to eat that.. yummy!!!!
I have folded the washing.. about 6 loads of it so far.. and the dryer is almost finished.. so we have clean bedding tonight and clean coats for school tomorrow. It is my baby brothers 18th tomorrow and my sis just text me.. she got him a silver cross he wanted.. his mum got him a St Christopher.. dad (aka tw@tface) 'let him off' with the £20 for his railcard to get to work which he borrowed last week... he is an untypable word!! I have him some smellies but I'll go get him a silver bracelet tomorrow when I've done at school.. if I have to go into town for it I'll get him one. The man who sired us sometimes defies belief.. then he wonders why only little brother talks to him out of the 5 of us.. ggrrrrrrr..
My sister and I have just decided we are taking him out for a meal and a drink her next Saturday off... 29th December.. another date for my diary.. thankfully we get paid the 28th so it'll be ok.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Evening All
What a weekend!! Havent caught up with the thread yet.
Decorations went up yesterday, that took ages.
DS football match got cancelled today, so went into town and spent another £30 in "stocking fillers" for DS  . Done a bit more wrapping. Still need to wrap some hampers but they take ages to do.
Washing and ironing all done! Just about to start tea (Lamb Chops!!).
It feels like I've done loads but can't remember what I've actually done! :rotfl:
See you all later

Well spuds in the oven to go with the sausage casserole that smells yum in the slow cooker. Veggies steaming too:D
Since I got home I have played at being a doggy (for the littles NOT DH before there are any of them comments - Tia:p ). We then moved onto hairdressers so my head is now sore and my hair needs rewashing:rolleyes: , but littles now attacking DH with the hair brush and bobbles and as his hair is short think it may be more painful for him:rotfl: .
I will get some pressies done tonight I am determined to get rid of the box taking up the corner in my bedroom. On a good note I got the xmas cards written at work today and posted on the way home so those who added to the card list look out for my scribble over the next couple of days. All family & friends cards written too:D0
