Lil_me idiots set fire to our hay bales last year. luckily it was far enough away, but even so, the horses could smell the smoke and were going mental! Plus, a lot of money wasted on hay too! Even the stuff that wasn't burned was useless as it smelled of smoke and they would not touch it.

I went to asda, and I swear, never again on a Saturday! However, I did manage to get a Parent and Child space first pass round!

Takeing the kids (on my own, hubby working) to a big Christmas event at Culzean castle tomorrow. They are looking forward to it, I'm hoping I can take the buggy in or I will have no chance of controlling the two of them!

Need to get the house nice and tidy tonight so I don't feel guilty going out, or feel crappy coming back to it!

    Hello all

Congrats lil_me on passing your module and good luck for the next one and everyone else who's managing to fit flying in with getting readyfor Christmas.

Hugs for all those who still have poorlies especially pigpen for her cat - those abcesses absolutely stink - uuuuugh

I have spent most of the day on the sofa asleep today as had several late nights including one out last night with my work mates last night. They were all so pi55ed, I am so lucky to work with a great bunch of people. I had to stay sober as was driving and had to get up at 6 this morning to get dads car back to him. Managed to get him to drop me off on his way out at the garage to collect the car. Had an hour to wait in the freezing cold so was so grateful for the heated seats when I got in it. Still needs to go back next week to have the pump fitted as the stupid delivery driver yesterday just put a card thru the letter box without ringin or knocking. OH and DD has sat in the front room and heard the letterbox so OH rushed out waving the card at the driver who just drove off. He was so mad he rang them up and called them a bunch of b@stards and they havent even tried to redeliver today so hopefully Monday. Managed to go and do a quick truck round Aldi for a change so OH can have the car to go to work tomorrow so will do flying and hopefully xmas tree then.

Hope you all have a great evening

  • Just eaten a lovely roast dinner, think i now fancy something really tasty but not sure what.

lil-me i found a flyer when i was tidying up that was for free delivery from studio, though i thought it was free delivery anyway. Conditional on order being paced before 19th of december, quote= order code 033. It also says last order date for personalised things is 12th of december, and other things 19th. I think i may do a studio order and whack it in the post. I have tried the website before and it hasn't worked for me.

codes for card trees again, are:

Telly has now gone a bit rubbish - so my plan is i am having a bottle of beer this evening and i am going to wrap some stuff and get the y11 books marked. I think that will take me to about 10:30ish, and will make the living room loads tidier if i lose the big box of pressies from in there to the spare room.

Anyway, not done that much today, but hopefully i will feel the benefit of a bit of a rest.

lbnbnblb wave hello to you. How are you finding the flying and working? It can be really hard for me, and i have noticed you haven't been around much all term. that's probably why i end up with problems, but then again i always feel like i deserve a break by keeping up with the girls.

shell - depends where you go for the hair cut, i was going to take charlie to supercuts at meadowhall for a hair cut, but it was 7.99 and i refused. My sisters mate did a quick trim instead for a couple of quid - little monkey would not sit still, so he is now desperate for a hair cut as he is looking like a surfer dude, but his long hair is really cute.

:hello: to you Michelle. Working and flying is hard, I have been grounded at home to be honest. OH does a lot, but doesn't seem to even see some of the things I think should be done. I bite my tongue however, as he does a lot more than most men I know! I do drop in and read the posts sometimes, but don't post much. I will join you in a beer, I think we have earnt it! Cheers to everyone else treating themselves this evening. Hope you are ok, I found teaching when I was pregnant exhausting, some days I felt like I was in a fog of tiredness.

  • hard work - particularly with charlie as well. I don't remember feeling as run down and tired all the time last time, but basically i would finish the school day at 3, come home and rest for a few hours and then do the evening paperwork/marking/lesson planning. This time round no chance for that, Charlie occupies me fully from picking him up at 4:30 until 7pm, and then i have to start. Although, it is better now i am further along and he has stopped waking up through the night with teething pains.

the biggest pain is the return to work process which i am still not out of. It;s supposed to be supporting me, but the extra observations and meetings when you are struggling to even stand in front of the class without being ill, and i think you know where i am coming from.

then the guilt that i never feel like i have done enough in the house or spent enough quality time with charlie.

Like you though, DH is fab, it is just hard in December as he has to work long hours. Can't wait to finish on the 20th and start the holidays, although at this rate there will be loads to do still when i break up.

Anyway, take care, and it was lovely to catch up with you - best that you understand exactly where i am coming from.

L & Michelle you're both doing really well at putting me off teaching :rotfl: off to see what else I can do with a Maths degree....................really big hugs for you both, it sounds like things are a bit hectic for both of you at the minute.

Oh you all finished early tonight.

Been to the Christmas party as Secondary School - I don't really enjoy those things but it was good to catch up with some people I have not seen for ages. Kids at Mum's but feel I have so much to do that I will probably be up at the usual time. Feeling a bit down but for no reason so a bit confused.

Right cuppa and then I think I'll read the paper.
