Tuesday - Lovely Living Rooms and Safe Stairs and the PC desk
    [STRIKE]Level One
Vacuum floors in these areas, even if around clutter
    Check fire alarms are working
    Level Two
Move things so you can vacuum under them
Vacuum and wipe (if needed) sofas NO, if I do, they'll fall apart. They're only held together by dust and dirt - BUT I can now afford to buy new ones in January, in the sales of course!
Dust any areas below eye level
    Level Three
Dust anything above eye level (if safe to do so)
Clean light switches and light fittings (if you can reach the fittings safely, make sure they are off first!)
Clear anything that shouldn't be where it is, should the magazines really be on the floor?
[/STRIKE] Well, where else are they supposed to be???

Extra Mission Tasks - as usual if you fancy tackling something else you could try one or more of these
    • [STRIKE]Clean a radiator or more if you have time [/STRIKE]
    • Spend 15 minutes sorting paperwork, dealing with anything urgent NOW
    • 27 F[STRIKE]ling Boogie, you know the routine, grab a bag and clear that clutter! [/STRIKE]
    • Sort one drawer or cupboard you've been putting off even opening! Even if it's just for 10 minutes. No drawers or cupboards in the room
    • [STRIKE]Find a place for something that doesn't have one, what are you sick of moving from one place to another? or what just gets dumped because it doesn't have somewhere to live? (Partners and children not included, no rehoming of those today unless necessary)[/STRIKE]

Oooh! I'm an inspiration today!! ;) Very disappointed that I can't put the kids and OH on ebay though... sent one to work, one to school, one to bed, and left one neatly folded on the sofa with the laptop (the one that cried this morning because he didn't feel well, and I had said last night that he couldn't have a day off school unless he had a doctor's certificate or was actually hospitalised...)

I have worked really hard on the living room today, and just have to throw the ebay stuff in the cupboard under the stairs, and replace the sofa throws when they are dried. Really should have washed the cushion covers too, but can't stand all the feathers they shed - next time!

I had lots of things to say when I was reading through the thread, but forgot to write them down again. :o

embb - been there, done that, it's heartbreaking, isn't it. But she will live and love again, even if she thinks she won't at the moment.

sexymouse - if you would like me to look at your personal statement, then I'd be happy to - pm me, and I'll give you my email addy

Must go and make chocolate cake and have lunch...and find somewhere to put the wine I bought this morning!:D

Afternoon all, took me ages to get on here and my thanks button is a bit random!

Bit miserable today (the weather), drizzly and dull. Two loads of washing hanging indoors. I did my bed today and cleaned all the bedrooms before doing the living room.

Also the parcel I was waiting for turned up so I was free to go to the post office. Posted two cards for US and a parcel and bought some more stamps.

Glad I went this morning because it was dry then and raining now.

Going to watch Neighbours now, still can't used to the new time.

 Took me soooooooooooo long to log in and for page to load I've read a chapter of my book while I've been sitting here! Still, it's better than last night, couldn't get on and stay on at all, except for a 5 minute stretch and then I didn't have a thanks button (mutter, mutter, whinge, whine, grizzle)

Daren't try clicking through the pages to read and thank - I'll be here all day so will just post what I've done/am going to do....

    Usual dailies
    been to work
    swept floors
changed our bed linen (and nagged DD" and DS2 to change theirs)
made hummus (sp?) for tomorrows packed lunches
    put BM
    spilt milk on keyboard
Ate all the leftovers in the fridge for my lunch (I am a dustbin!)
made pasta bake for dinner tonight

    filing paperwork
passport forms for kids (still trying to do them and they've been on my list for a fortnight:o)
    dusting
    make cakes
    read

Hope everyone having good day - perhaps I'll be able to read alll about it tomorrow

    Hiya
Need you guys to solve a dilemna for me. I always get my children's teachers a present at christmas - I know I don't have to but i'm happy to do it as they both have fabulous teachers who go beyond what they need to do, I also get the two brownie leaders a pressie each as they're voluntary and do loads of stuff with the brownies.

Now, the dilemna is that I have a shelf full of pressies from my clients - usually wine, chocolate and candles - and i'm really short of money this month.

Would it be really awful and ungrateful of me to regift some of those presents to the people I usually buy for? So far I already have lots of gifts of chocolate and it's only the 4th December.

    Your thoughts please xx

So long as there's no chance of a giver recognising what you are regiving then I say go for it. It makes sense :)

Thanks Pollybear - I do feel cheeky doing it but it will save me a lot of money and there's no way even I could eat this amount of chocolate. I wonder how often presents are regifted and how many people some presents go through before they reach their final destination.

Right, 10 minute tidy and then it's pick DS up from football, take children to my mum's for tea and then finish the christmas card list.

    xx

LJD1 Recycle them and when you have cash, treat yourself to something you really want! :j

Well, more cars from that house turned up and I had to park in another street earlier. So when I got home and managed to park, I called the council and requested a disabled space outside my house. It won't solve the problem, but should help, plus if they do park on it (assuming I get one) i can complain to someone!!!

Also emailed an official complaint about the lot of them, vans, cars, trucks the lot. May have exaggerated the problem and blamed them for churnng up the grass when it's really a neighbor, BUT still, I'm A Very Angry Resident On A Mission.

Now, for freaky news, my tarot said I will go to a funeral and come into an inheritance... I'm wondering who I know that would leave me money because everyone I know is skint!
