Brambling said:Marion I keep an eye on the old challenge for a few days so if you want to have a final weigh in on it after the 1st Oct that's ok or you can leave until your normal weigh in day. Its not a competition so whatever you are happy with5

Oh my goodness its been almost a month since I last checked in. Running has been a bit better, but have had a bit of a set back this week with a couple of issues (one with the house to sort and the other is me just feeling under the weather again). Should all be sorted in a day or two and so the plan is to get back on it next week.
Ditty, it wasn't a huge move - just a few miles - but away from my usual routes. As soon as I feel better next week I must get going again and find some routes. You see so much when you're running that you don't when you are driving. I've also stopped cycling too and need to start again. I keep wondering whether we have done the right thing with moving and I think its making me a bit negative which is making me a bit down and unmotivated. But I love the buzz after running, hot shower, porrige breakfast and a lovely coffee - it sets me up for the day - so I know I need to get on it again. Plus it will probably make me feel more positive about the move. We've moved to a new house and there are more houses around us than I realised. Its not a huge estate but I clearly didn't look at the whole site plans and was surprised to find that I can see quite a few gardens from my upstairs back windows. Downstairs we are only slightly overlooked at the bottom of the garden, so we are pleased with the lovely garden and the house is beautiful and our neighbours very nice. Our cat is used to fields next door so he is a bit more timid about going out, but he goes out quite a lot at night and we are gradually building up the plants in the garden for him to explore and hide behind (according to the web they feel scared in big open spaces - which is what our garden was when we moved in). I keep thinking that I should have looked into the plans a bit more and could have chosen one of the houses which are nearer to the fields here, but then I don't think they will be ready by March and we have used help to buy which finishes then. So really I need to stop mithering and just enjoy our lovely home and get out exploring. (Sorry to off load on whoever reads this - but I do feel better for getting it out)
Edit - ps sorry, I've just realised this wasn't very weight related. I have been weighing and think I have put on another 1lb, but I will definitely start again on Q4."Think of many things, do one"

Morning
Just done my final WI before we start afresh on Wednesday,, another 1/2 lb loss.
I kept an open mind when I joined as I have never done weight loss on line before and wasn't sure if it would work for me. I'm delighted that I have lost 6lb altogether, 1lb more than my target.
A big thank you to everyone on here, your posts have kept me going when I've had a wobbly moment whatever your news is, good or not so good. Think the main thing is to keep positive particularly at the moment when all sorts of unexpected issues arise. It's been a particularly challenging year so far with Covid and I think we should all congratulate ourselves that we are looking after ourselves in whatever ways we can in such difficult circumstances.
Lecture over with, onwards and upwards!.

Another 1/2 lb this week. Thanks for the support ,everyone.
Brambling - Could you add me to the new challenge when it's up and running. In keeping with goal of a pound per week could you put me down for 13lbs by the end of December. Might be a bit of a challenge with Christmas, New Year, holidays and my birthday. I'm away for four weeks tomorrow so won't be able to weigh in for that period of time (no scales!) but I'll let you know how I get on when I come back. Hopefully having to own up when I come back might help keep me on track.
Thanks.
Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.6 -
Sandy I think you were brave trying to lose weight and move at the same time
Hopefully you are all settled in now
Toni - enjoy you month away and don't forget you'll return with a clean slate and no need to confess any WI sinsI've written down you target for next challenge just don't take it personally if I forget to add you it's reliance on me finding the piece of paper next week. TBH I think a lot of us consider the challenge closed Xmas Eve and not NY Eve for that reason. At least for us there will be no work Xmas lunch to worry about

Just thought I'd quickly pop back on. Haven't seen anything myself but was chatting to a friend who is getting worried as apparently the media are now starting up again about Brexit as well which is probably part of the panic buying, people getting extra in case prices shoot up. Strictly speaking this isn't about weight loss, but might help with deciding where to do your shopping in the coming weeks!.5
