ditty1234 said:Turns out that I needed a day of slacking today, so didn't swim, made pancakes for brunch and had rye and stilton for a snack. I'm not stuffing myself, but I think I am having a ... I think I have run out of will power day today and I'm sure I'll be fine tomorrow, so Im just resting and trying to keep it to a small slip day :-)
Ditty1234 what a delicious way to take the day off. 😊
As for me…back to work and up 600 grams (1.3 lbs). Looking at the naughtier things I ate last week is a bit embarrassing (I have a weakness for cheese kransky sausages) but I have to admit I put on weight a lot faster than I expected – half a kilo in three days! The remainder of the week was spent applying the brakes.
This week I’ve got bamboo and mushroom soup for three lunches (stock, plus sliced mushrooms, sliced bamboo shoots and a few things to flavour). I’m going to be more disciplined about cereal at breakfast and stay off the kranskies. Hopefully that will make a difference. The tricky thing has been getting enough exercise – during the weekends I get about an hour a day but motivating myself at work is harder.

Morning All
Well done Monna on hitting target 👏
Well I'm off for the next two weeks so my eating will be erratic, but I shall try my very hardest to head towards my target instead of yo-yoing.
I was planning the odd day out with the kids over the next couple of weeks, but it looks like dd will be starting college a week earlier than we thought so that only gives us a couple of days, and the weathers looking pretty wet this week. Might go to the Aquarium later this week as we didn't do anything much for ds birthday last month and he does love a sea creature or two!
I'm unsure on meals today, but it will probably involve chicken and some sort of sweet potato as that's what I have in.
I'm going to get my hoovering and moping down today and need to sort out some rubbish in the garden so hopefully plenty of exercise done.
Enjoy your day x'You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose' - Dr Suess

Hi
Well done losers and stsers.
I don’t have any tips for keeping it up tonisfriend, it’s a minor miracle I’ve managed myself to last this long to be honest. Think my heads in the right place this time around so I don’t seem to be self sabotaging. I like gin and tonic too and vodka soda🥂 just count it into the plan when I want it, I have regular tonic and still find it doesn’t send me craving snacks like wine and beer do.
Sn1987a, if I need a snack when I’m unable to adjust mealtimes I’m currently going with a little cheese, some plain unroasted nuts, a boiled egg or avocado as those fit with my current plan. And I made coconut macaroons with natural sweetener last week that are working well. When I was doing plant based I’d have oat and date bars or date and nut balls or occasionally a banana though I find fruit as a snack makes me hungrier soon after I’ve eaten it I think because of its natural sweetness. I also like homemade hummus or babaganash with veggie sticks or before I became gluten intolerant I’d pop some wholemeal pittas cut into triangles in the oven and they came out crispy for dipping and crisp breads with cottage cheese were nice. In winter I have a mug of homemade soup for a snack.
Enjoy your time off Sirens.
Had the gluten free breaded chicken and some oven chips Saturday, then on Sunday a gluten free chocolate chip cookie with morning coffee, I was really curious to see how I’d react after 12 weeks of extremely low sugar consumption. It didn’t taste too sweet or set off cravings so I’ll be enjoying the other 8 in the pack over the coming week or two, bad luck OH! I’ve already given him my Tesc0 Gluten free ore0’s as those were overly sweet before I gave up most sugary things. I stepped on the scales this morning and I’m the same as I was on Friday so pleased with that.
I still haven’t really decided what I’m going to do now I’ve finished my 12 weeks so just going with the flow for now, eat what I feel like instead of trying to get all my ducks in a row and have a bit of a rest from all the weighing of food and see what happens at Fridays weighin.
Take care all

Hi all 🙂
Reporting a shameful 2lb gain please Brambling. I know I have been eating off plan but I'm really shocked it's so much gain. I think its disproportionate as the munching was mainly carbs (for the week; 4 slices bread and butter, half packet choc digestives and 2 small bowls ice cream as well as my "diet food"). Anyway I'm back on it now.
This week is my fasting week as its chemo Friday so I shall fast after Tuesday dinner til Saturday dinner. Hopefully that will have the side effect of getting my weight back on track.
It's so lovely on here, reading everybody's news and knowing we are in it together. 💛🌷💙A bit of grin and bear it, a bit of come and share it
You're welcome we can spare it, yellow socks8 -
Morning All,
Wow, that was a lot to catch up with!! Welcome Frith, hanert, Marion & Toni'sfriend. As you've probably gathered, we all have quite different approaches to dieting but best of luck with finding what works for you.
Congratulations on the losses Honey, sn1987a, monnagran, ouraggie, Gingerlily & LittleVoice. Very well done on reaching your target monnagran
Well done for the STSs Blue Doggy, Brambling, Dumpling, nananibbles & SandyShores
Commiserations on the gains lapis_lazuli, Sirens & TTB.
LL - half a kilo in 3 days doesn't sound too bad, I'm sure I could manage 3kg in half a day if I really put my mind to it
TTB - that does seem particularly harsh given what you've eaten. Best of luck for this week's fasting.
Sirens - you're not letting the side down at all and I hope you enjoy your time off.
I'm happy to be able to weigh in today with a -1.5lb loss. It was better than that a couple of days ago but we had friends over on Saturday and a few beers (okay, quite a lot of beers) were drunk so I'm grateful that I didn't manage to completely undo all my hard work. I think it's probably just as well I was working all day yesterday as it meant I didn't have time to give into the cravings for all of the junk I'd normally want after alcohol.
Best of luck and stay safe everyone xx7 -

At weigh in yesterday I had managed to lose back the 3lb that I had gained whilst away. This week I am going down to my daughter's for a few days which is always difficult, although she is needing to lose some weight herself so maybe we can encourage one another. Well done everyone who has lost again, or at least stayed the same, and for anyone who has had a difficult week, this new one can only get better! We have eaten cauliflower rice a couple of times this weekend which is proving to be a very healthy alternative to rice, and two very small cauliflowers yielded sufficient for at least 10 portions. I froze most of the surplus but dehydrated a couple of portions due to lack of space. I'm back to 2 smoothies a day with one light veggie meal in the evening.so I am quite sure I am getting all the nutrients I need. Has anyone else had success with smoothies?Solar Suntellite 250 x16 4kW Afore 3600TL dual 2KW E 2KW W no shade, DN15 March 14

Thank you, Brambling. I will have a G & T now an again. I've got quite a lot of really nice bottles of gin which Himself has been buying me. I'll definitely have a good tonic when I have one of those (a G & T, I mean. Not the whole bottle). Gin has become really popular, hasn't it?
I'm sure I'll get to know everyone in time but meanwhile congratulations, Monna.
So today's menu:
Breakfast - Banana, pears and strawberries
Lunch - Mozzarella, tomato, cucumber, leaves and spring onion with a drizzle of olive oil and lots of black pepper.
Dinner - Meatballs (from the butcher). In the slow cooker with tomato, onion, garlic, herbs and a little bit of white wine. To have with penne.
Thank you all for the welcome and encouragement.
Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.7 -
I've just had a look at the list of names, this must be the biggest wagon in history. Definitely a very lively group!.
I'm pondering about posting my daily menu, I tend to eat a cooked meal at lunchtime rather than in the evening but it varies depending on what I'm doing so it would be in a different order most of the time.
I think it's really interesting that we all have a common goal but are doing it in different ways. I enjoy reading about what everyone is eating and seeing the menu's but have to make sure I'm not hungry when I read your posts!.
