What small DFW things will you do w/c 29th June?

You need to weigh up the risks for your physical health but you also need to take into account your mental health as that affects so much.DawnW said:I have told my friend who runs the antique shop where I rent my unit that I am happy to go back to help out for a few hours a week as before, to get me out of the house and give her a break. Haven't told OH yet, I am supposed to be vulnerable due to a medical condition. However, my GP said that, although my condition is one where absolutely everyone who has it is on the list regardless, mine is pretty mild and hasn't up to now really needed treatment, so in his view I am on the very edge of the shielded category. I will wear a mask, will keep my distance from others and am fanatical about having clean hands in any case, so I am reasonably confident about it. We don't by any means get great queues of people like in supermarkets, and numbers of cases in this area are very low, so hopefully he won't worry too much about it. I just need to do something outside of the house or I will go mad
When you talk to Mr DawnW explain the risk assessment you have done and what you/they are intending to do to lower the risk. This should reassure him you are taking his concerns seriously.
Yesterday was the day we pay our mortgage, the monthly payments have reduced by over £60 per month because of the overpayment last week
I am putting the savings aside to make another payment in December, I will make it up to £500 so it reduces future monthly payments.
Plans for today:
NSD
RM survey
B/L/D from stores
Make a loaf of bread
Change our bedding
Set DW & WM to run overnight
Home educate children for free
Pmp etc
Ongoing survey
Check freezer inventory part 1, I know their will have been an occasion or two where we were in a rush or distracted where we forgot to record something
Wash hair with a shampoo bar
Let hair dry naturally
Continue with decluttering emails 5 out of 6 accounts good and being maintained and (slow) progress happening on the 6
Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent
79.5 coupons rolled over 4/75.5 coupons spent - using for secondhand purchases

You are absolutely right BB. Congrats on the mortgage overpayments btw, it gets addictive, doesn't it? We paid ours off early, which allowed us both to retire early (as we could take our small work pension entitlements before state pension age). No way could we have done this still having a mortgage to pay!Just ordered bread flour, baking powder and yeast, which are still a pain to get round here, except from the local wholesaler, who has flour at least, but in 16kg bags, which are heavy, and a pain to store. I ordered from a company called Squires which I found out about via a FB group I belong to. Used a voucher code for 20% off. The flour comes in 4kg bags which will be easier to store and handle.OH gave me some small wooden items, some of which he made and some made by a friend of his, which the dog groomer had been looking for. Now agreed to swap them for a 'free' groom next time the mutt looks like a small hearthrug
This seemed easier than charging her - as we know her well, it wouldn't feel right to ask for the price OH would normally charge for his stuff (though these are only experimental bits really, which wouldn't in any case go to the posh outlets he sells through), and if we did them at a very low price, I could foresee her friends wanting them made, and expecting to pay the same. Seemed a sensible solution which both she and OH are happy with

I started bright and ready at 7am with feeding cats, washing dishes, writing a to do list and getting my school work done - but I've completely crashed and feel ready for a nap now and it's not even 9am yet!
Other plans for the day are completely dependent on what time dd gets up - we have decorating equipment ready to go but I won't do it if we don't start when it's morning and I don't often see her before lunch time. I might have to tackle grocery shopping as the list is getting long and I don't think I can continue to ignore it. Must also get out for a walk and do some housework but I think today will be a day of mostly pottering about. Not giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt
Time to take back control

Morning
Currently is overcast and the flagstones are damp, I'm going to leave it an hour and hope the flagstones dry if they do I'll l hang the washing outside. During the hour it rained a couple of times so the washing was hung in the spare room with the dehumidifier on. The rain became more frequent and heavier throughout the day.
Today looks like it is going to be a rerun of yesterday.

Afternoon folks
Bit of a late check in from me... suddenly tanked last night, took myself off to bed (early-ish) and conked out until 2am, then had a horribly distrubed night. Felt really off and queasy and tired and just kept going back to sleep. Finally surfaced at about 10am feeling very groggy and headachey but have perked up a bit after breakfast and coffee. I've had a couple of these funny nights over the past couple of months. I'm wondering if it's to do with the awful hayfever I've been getting. Not saying that my fitness tracker is the be all and end all, but my stats are all looking good so I'm guessing I can't be that ill.
I was supposed to be having an eye test but rang and cancelled. Re-booked for next week. The lady who works on reception there is absolutely lovely. She's really found her niche in customer service as she seems genuniely pleased to see or hear from everyone!
Jibbed off the butcher and the deli today. We didn't really need much from there apart from eggs and I can go to the local shop for these tomorrow or later. OH picked up the click and collect shopping on his own.
So on to a great MSE story. OH's phone contract is due and he needs a new phone as his is very unhappy and keeps freexing up. As we didn't want to go to the shop, he did his research online. He couldn't get the phone and contract that he wanted for less than £36 a month. Because we're a little bit more flush with money d/t my redundancy payout, I suggested he look at buying a phone outright and look at the total cost as if it was spread over the 24 month contract term. Result was £28 per month! I call that a win
Going to have a bit of a lazy day today. got some baby stuff to make for one of the singers that OH works with so I'm going to print off the pattern and set to it. All yarn from gifted stash so a freebie!
Other than that, all the usual list: budget sheets, PMP, cooking from home
Have a good one all

CLF we always buy our phones outright and just have a sim only contract - and keep the phones till we start to get problems with them. Works out loads cheaper. OH's phone could do with replacing but we don't want to go to the phone shop yet. I could just buy one online but I reckon he would need a new sim card (different size) and that is just much easier to do in the shop, especially as it is so tricky ref security etc trying to do these things for someone else.... and it would be me who would have to sort it! It will have to wait for a few more weeks I think. It does work, even though it is annoying, and he also has an annoying tablet with a broken screen as a back up.Chilly and windy today, but no rain so far. Managed our early morning dog walk. I then made some soup for lunch and cleaned out the fridge ready for the Mr A delivery later today, before taking some items to my sales unit, and picking up my takings for June, which were higher than I thought they would be. Pleasant surprise! I haven't bought any new stock for ages as the markets etc that I use have been closed, so I have been putting in stuff I have had forever, at low prices to try to shift it. It is nice to have got rid of some of it, and I will continue to try to do so for the next few weeks, but am looking forward to feeling able to go out buying again.I noticed some ageing vegetables when I cleaned the fridge earlier, so will have a look in the freezer for something to cook up with them. Dinner is sorted for today, but it is always nice to have a cooked meal just ready to heat up - the nearest we get to ready meals I suppose

We too always buy our phones outright and have SIM only deals. We keep them until they need replacing not just because we like some added features. I have had a mobile phone for about 25 years, my first was a lovely Nokia and I have since had 2 smartphones.
OH has had more phones over roughly the same period, I'm more tolerant. When the children started with mobile phones they initially had a dumb phone until they could demonstrate they could look after it, not lose it, remember to take out with them, charge it and use it responsibly.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

Hmm took stuff back to TKM4X and bike break pads, so recovered £40, then I went into a book shop for a couple of gifts and bought face coverings in a shop. So net 0, but took care of stuff I needed. Have an other £25 coming back as well and got £33 from car insurance - Quid ... and I'm in £49 in surveys - so now just need one more survey to cash out. And those two will cover a good part of our sommer holls in ds student house (closer to sea). And now summer holidays - staycation.Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%
