Hello

Better late than never, but here I am two days in a row. Thanks all for the welcome back - very much appreciated. I've had a productive day and gotten lots done:
small shop at Herr Ronn to top up freezer goodies for kids
appointment at ds school to meet his new form tutor and order his uniform ready for September (we hope)
decluttered a couple of hotspots in the house and took a car load of rubbish to the tip. If you had told me that in 2020 on top of all the other weird stuff going on I would discover a love for taking stuff out of my house and to the tip I would have laughed in your faces. But I love it.
walked to school so no petrol and better for our health
crocheted some cotton cloths to keep in the new bathroom
finally prepped a batch of veggie soup that I didn't get round to yesterday
Tomorrow I have work related stuff all morning, then need to homeschool in the afternoon so may not find much time for anything else. However, I'll see how I'm feeling...Not giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt
Time to take back control

Morning purps and everyone that follows
I've come down with something so feeling a bit grotty (just general aches, feeling a bit hot but thermometer says I have a normal temp, an sneezing) so intend to take it fairly easy.
I was fairly pleased with my dinner efforts yesterday. I had at best 1.5 portions of bolognese lo and I added 1/2 tin toms, mushrooms, peppers and carrots and a handful of basil and voila a meal for 3
today:
* read newsletter
* home schooling - only did English yesterday
* TOMM - playing catch up with bedrooms today and hopefully will do hallway as well...
* more sanitary towels. if I can get 4 done today I can finish off 4 tomorrow
* all meals from stores
* writing a small shopping list for tomorrow. - may get away with it sub £30!
* taking madam out later to continue learning to ride her bike. It's really hard teaching madam to ride a bike! We had some independent cycling the other day but its hard going!
* read book in bed when madam goes to be

Morning folks
@determined_new_ms I hope you feel better soon x
Finally some sort of news re the roof. Had an email from the LA asking for permission to pass my details to the insurers so they can arrange to come and assess the damage. I know that's totally normal but it has put me in a bit of a tizz. I just don't like all the bits and bobs going on.
In other news though, I put my big girl pants on last night and drove for the first time in 11 years. I was ok at it considering, although struggled to reverse it very well. More practice required.
I'm working from home today as no one was going to be in the office so I may as well save myself the petrol.
Small things:
B/L/D from stores
Log cals in free app
WFH
Check PMP
Will probably feel compelled to do some sort of mad tidy round
Run at lunchtime?
OH being very brave and doing a tip run. Brave on account of the huge queues and the fact that he finds it quite stressful and frightening. It sets off his hyper-vigilance really badly.
Have a good one all

Afternoon all
Hope you feel better soon DNMS, and that you get your roof sorted CLF.Feeling lazy and unmotivated today. The weather is wet (intermettently), windy and chilly, which isn't exactly encouraging. Not done much at all this morning, just the usual dog walk and kitchen and bathroom daily clean up, also cut some salad leaves, checked the banks and updated my spreadsheet, as most of the direct debits have gone out. Also made a cash donation to the local food bank, as I still can't go to the supermarket to physically buy items and put them in the donations trolley. I have noticed prices rising over the last few weeks, and this must be having a big impact, especially given ongoing job losses and the length of time it takes for benefits to come through etc
OH is threatening to sort out the garage, so I will go and help him once my coffee is drunk. Other than that, I will cook mackerel fillets with home grown vegetables for dinner, and get the 'sourdough' starter out of the fridge to see if it revives, with a view to baking another loaf tomorrow. Hoping for a return of motivation tomorrow!6 -
Hi all
I have been a bit absent lately as anxiety spiked. but I am still here.
Have reverted to bad spending habits the last couple of weeks (Eb*y!!) buying dresses for DD - justified it by using money from the joint account where her child benefit goes, but still. I became obsessed with finding funeral wear for me and her, not a healthy obsession but it gave me a brief feeling of control over a difficult family situation I cannot help with. :-
So today am thinking of how I have been saving /managing money, to feel better and get myself back in the game.
Small things today (feels like I am starting from scratch!)- -work from home, no fuel money
- -all meals from stores
- -car service (a YEAR overdue oops) - told them what level I wanted and that they were not to fix anything without asking, which they have abided by.
- -collect new prescription (but they can't get the stuff so that's saved me a tenner)
- -walk dog - free exercise
- -make bullet journal entries for this week and check future dates
- -identify a self catering holiday we can easily afford. DD is demanding a place with a hot tub (!) but I want somewhere I can go and not feel guilty about the cost every minute.

Well I just managed to buy 4 plastic chairs for garden as our lovely reclaimed wooden chairs are giving in. They are a bit small (we are big people), but they will do. And when we get some proper chairs, they can double up as extras.
It is time to rein shopping back in, make a list and stick to it. And not to let anybody come along when shopping!Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%

It's so true isn't it? The anxiety doesn't stop the bad things happening and you have a horrible time! I hate having an anxious time as I always feel like it's stolen time from me. I'm glad you're feeling a bit brighter and I hope you have a good day todayTryingAgain2022 said:
That's it. Anxiety is rubbish. I'm a little better today but honestly it just robs you of joy in life. No time off from it! Need to focus on other things and those things must NOT be spending.

Morning folks
Feeling a bit muzzy here today - I had 2 bottles of beer last night and my new fitness tracker proves that even a small amount of alcohol musses you up completely.
After thinking I was saving all the petrol WFH, things changed and now I'm WFH today too which meant that we had to drive to the office to pick up my laptop charger
Still, I did a stint of digging at the allotment and drove there all by myself!
Today's plan:
B/L/D from stores
Must meal plan and sort shopping out - done
Allotment after work if not p'ing down, poss some sort of workout if not.
Knitting maybe?
Log cals in free app - decided to leave it for a couple of weeks and check I'm still on track
Check PMP - done
Tidying round. Place feels like a tip as everything pulled out dt leak
Have a good one all

Morning all
Hope you have a better day today @TryingAgain2022, and CLF, I am not a very brave driver either, in fact I wouldn't drive at all if I didn't have to / want to keep it up. Don't know why as I used to have to drive mini buses full of students all over the place
Shortened dog walk today as it started to rain just as we set out, and Dog doesn't 'do' rain! Apart from that I have washed my hair and put another sort-of-sourdough loaf in the breadmaker, fed the starter and put it back in the fridge (it has to come out and warm up overnight before use). It is chilly, windy and raining heavily but intermittently, really yucky weather for July, and I fear for my tomato plants as this is real blight weather!
So, gardening seems to be out today, but at least no watering needed I suppose! Really need to do some cleaning / housework, but it is sooo boring! I have told my friend who runs the antique shop where I rent my unit that I am happy to go back to help out for a few hours a week as before, to get me out of the house and give her a break. Haven't told OH yet, I am supposed to be vulnerable due to a medical condition. However, my GP said that, although my condition is one where absolutely everyone who has it is on the list regardless, mine is pretty mild and hasn't up to now really needed treatment, so in his view I am on the very edge of the shielded category. I will wear a mask, will keep my distance from others and am fanatical about having clean hands in any case, so I am reasonably confident about it. We don't by any means get great queues of people like in supermarkets, and numbers of cases in this area are very low, so hopefully he won't worry too much about it. I just need to do something outside of the house or I will go mad.... and I want to see my grandchildren properly again! And two year olds do not do social distancing from grandmas!
Anyway, cleaning it is for today. I must also think of something for dinner, as I am rubbish at meal planning lately. It will be something I already have - maybe cauliflower and broccoli cheese or something like that. I have frozen florets in the freezer and plenty of cheese. I thoroughly recommend Iceland's frozen veg btw, they have a good range, it is really good quality and lots of it is only £1 a bag, loads cheaper than anywhere else (round here at any rate). Their frozen fruit and fish are great too.3
