Seeing it written down shows how much you have done and how far you've come.
With savings, think of it as a bill that needs to be paid every 4 weeks, when that 'bill' is paid. When all bills are paid, what's left is your spends until payday again 🤗Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.3 -

You are so right...A kind friend gave me a self-help book as a pressie, and it is really boosting me up, in between cleaning of course!

Aha! Finally got to grips with changing the signature thingy... Took me long enough...
Sadly the EF has taken a hammering, had 6 birthdays, cards x 6 & a small pressie bought, a meal out with relatives, other stuff to fork out for, so instead of a proper month's worth of savings and the last of the refunds, it's a bit tinier than it should be... I suppose that's what it is for, all those expenditures I 'forget' even though they turn up every year.
That should be it until the dreaded December festivities come around. This year I have promised myself that I am NOT buying a load of stuff, pressies, food, alcohol that no-one eats/drinks because they are too full! I say this every year.... At least I can have less temptation as there is only so much vegan stuff out there...

Belatedly I am setting a budget for that!
Do want to give at Xmas, but it might have to be just cards or charity shop finds this year....

How many people would you normally buy for at Christmas? And are they all adults?
