    Afternoon all :)
Very hot here today - got some bits done this morning before it got quite so hot and sticky. Still on a bit of a go-slow, I do a bit and then sit down a bit etc - but I have:
    Early dog walk 5 am
Home grown strawberries with breakfast :)
Stripped bed off and washed linen. Now line dried in the hot sun but need to wait for OH to come in from the workshop to help me turn the mattress before bed can be remade.
Hoovered through downstairs, put some items away (we must be an untidy pair!)
Daily stuff, cleaned kitchen sink, emptied bin, put recycling out, cleaned loo and basin in bathroom, changed towels etc
Shopping delivery from Icyland earlier, mostly frozen stuff, as I find it better and cheaper than Mr A. All put away.
Investigated odd text from Mr A regarding a delivery scheduled for today that I had cancelled. Apparently they have cancelled it because they couldn't take payment.... presumably because I had already cancelled it (??) Will see what happens wrt the order that is supposed to be delivered tomorrow. I know there is no problem with the bank account, so there seems to be some confusion their end.
Found an old wooden box in the garage, and asked OH to drill holes in the bottom and line it with old compost bag plastic so I can use it for a planter :)
Lunch was a use-up toastie thing
Dinner will be the remains of the spinach pie with potatoes and salad
Still need to check banks, remake bed and water the garden.
Hope everyone is managing to keep cool - it is cool in the house, but really hot in the garden.

Morning all. Whilst wall to wall sunshine is lovely, today’s temperature is much more bearable. Went to bed in a grump last night but after 11 hours sleep I’m much happier 🤣

    today’s list:
☀️Put shopping away after it’s delivered
☀️ Update meal plan after ^^
    ☀️Check banking
    ☀️knitting
    ☀️ Small bit of housework
    ☀️ Bake something
☀️ Check garden - courgettes are growing 😊

Have a good day all. Purps.

    Morning folks

Grey and rainy here. Mixed feelings as I'm glad it's cooler as my bedroom is currently 25 degrees but concerned about leaking roof.
Also of concern is that my phone charger has vanished. I am currently blaming OH for tidying it away somewere random. Suspiciously found a lead-less plug in the fruit bowl which is def an OH action. Found. OH had randomly chosen to dismember it, add the plug to the fruit bowl, and mix the lead in with the leads of his electric drum kit

In other things today, usual trip up to the butchers and the supermarket for click and collect. Not sure what I want to do today as am feeling a bit groggy. Combo of heat, hayfever and period pain. it might just be a case of knitting and general potteirng, depending on the weather.

    The proper list:
:cookie: B/L/D from stores - done
:cookie: Reconcile budget sheet (if phone charger found)
:cookie: Generally not spending - done
:cookie: Poss have a few thoughts about back of allotment. - been up there for 3 hours on my own and had a good tidy! We'd originally made a pile of all the useful scrap wood but it wasn't tidy. Now that the back of the plot is clear, I stacked it all neatly and started the mission of expanding the soft fruit bed. At the moment, the blackcurrants and raspberries are all jumbled together and you can't get into them to pick or weed.

    Have a good one all
