Hi ladies,
A busy day here, on the homeward stretch now though. Kiddies eating pizza for tea and we will settle down to a movie shortly. Early nights all round I think.
DW has been loaded, I’ve just put a washload on which will go over the airer in the morning and the house is presentable. I’ve just poured loads of bleach down the drain, the smell hasn’t gone but has come back with avengeance today.
Nearly cuppa and fruit n nut time, whoop!8 -

ASB I was thinking about your drains the other day, is that a strange thing to say? I couldnt remember if you every got them sorted, or whether it was just going to be too difficult/expensive.
I am making a strict mealplan for next week and if they dont like it tough. DH and I are both working full time at the minute but he does expect me to cook a meal every night, but then he is also quite fussy.
Pigpen well done on the painting in this heat, I hate glossing.
So it was a good day at the paid stuff, HIT class first thing, and a quick blast out on the bike this afternoon. Feeling really good watching my diet, drinking lots of water, and exercising. Might need a G&T tonight though. Told everyone to help themselves to some tea out of the freezer. Swept and mopped kitchen and utility room first thing, did a boil wash of some teatowels but thats about the total flying I have managed.

We picked up Dots relacement glasses today.. and Pixie has now snapped the arm off hers.. I swear they hate me.
Paint picked up tp finish glossing.. we have not done a thing today with various other stuff going on..
Tiny litter tray replaced with a litter filled underbed storage box... 8 cats require that!Admission papers dropped off at school for Twinkle.Topic books collected.
New classes/teachers sent out.. Squeak has the same teacher for the second year.. this is the second time she had the same teacher for consecutive years. She is disappointed it is not the choir/recorder teacher but pleased it is the same one. Dot has Spambolini in her class and Fabian is in with Pixie which I can't see him being very happy with.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)8 -
Morning all. Up with the lark on first day off as it appears Littleydog is unwell again. She's had her meds so hopefully will recover quickly. I don't like it when the dogs get older, I wish they could stay with me as puppies forever.
I am going to make my first job today cleaning the fridge and doing a meal plan. It's pouring with rain which is forecast for the day, so not sure what else I'll do although I may do some seed sowing in the greenhouse.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.9 -
Morning xx
Weary Willi signing in. Today may have to be a take-it-easy day, but I feel ahead of the game as I got two WM loads washed and dried in the week. There are fluttering jobs that I can do to maintain forward momentum without sapping what little energy I seem to have woken up with.
My covid antibody test came back negative, so I don't know what I had in March but it would seem it was a different lergy. One of my colleagues came back positive - she's not been ill ill (iyswim) but she lost her sense of smell and taste weeks ago - isolated for seven days when the symptom first appeared then carried on as normal.
I need another brew.

Good morning
Fully paid up member of the WAC reporting in, although I did have a lovely sleep between 7.30 and 8.15am. DH got up at 7.30, say no more.
None of the forecasted rain or storms has hit here yet, but I am still hoping it will happen. No idea what today’s plans are, although HHI will have to be on the list. And like Jazee, maybe some seed sowing in the greenhouse later.
More tea and get dressed first. Have a lovely day all x8 -
Been in the WAC for quite some time this morning, but refuse to get out of bed on the principle that it is the weekend and I am crackered.
I have been off piste on Thursday and Friday, busy sorting stuff in the house to open up more space.
Errand of Mercy X 2.
Bottle bank and stretchy plastic recycling at Mr T.
Car wash gang paid contactless at Mr T.
refilled boot again and, queued for the dump I miss my 7 seater!
3 boot-fulls of stuff searched for and driven to people in need who can't wait/afford for charity shops to open.
Sorted through my Corona food rations to see what food I was brought in the early days that I just keep ignoring cos I don't like and brought into main cupboard to work into meal plan for next week.
Washed all stray cleaning clothes to remove product residue and got baked dry on the line.
used hair bands to put a clean cloth around the neck of each active service trigger bottle (no more smears)
Gave serious love to my spice cupboard. Topped up my "pretty" jars in the kitchen with star anise, whole dried red chilies, cinnamon sticks, cardamom pods, bay leaves. Finally emptied my drawer of all the useful empty spice jars and small favoured coffee jars that I have been washing and storing for the last year or so waiting for a good day to decant my open packets of stuff. So much better organized now I am not battling folded packets held with clothes pegs. I found 3 open packets of Ras El Hanout.....well that won't happen any more.......I still need save some more coffee jars to completely remove the loose packets from the cupboard but the end is in sight.
Descaled my old steam mop 3 times back to back before consigning it to the dump and I have brought it back to life, which I am pleased about 😁 so that can come back into active service.
Booked a slot for my handyman to come in August to do some froggy jobs for me, so that is a relief the decision is made.
Lots of decision making to be done, as young Skints need a rest and I am out of power. So I am going to plan next week's off piste activity a bit later.
It's just rained here, so it's taken the heat down a bit, so I might try for more sleep. Stay safe xxx
The cold never bothered me anyway9
