Morning all,
Yet another busy day yesterday, and I have a busy morning today. Have written a list, which also includes 'buy a fruit n nut bar' which is my Friday night treat. Rock n roll hey!YL - I am finding food stressful too. My budget is now set to £45 a week, stopping drinking has helped, but yesterday I spent £65 in Aldi. I was being careful but we needed things like olive oil which, although cheap there, is still pricey. DD asked for some ice cream and I got some, she does appreciate we don't have much money at the moment and never asks for anything so I relented. I really hate being so skint sometimes. Anyway, I digress xx
DW has been unloaded, no laundry to do so that's something. Will take DD for a bike ride this morning whilst DS is at school. Take care all xx9 -
Morning, still very hot here so going to be a slow day until it cools down, rain forecast later
Bed made, clothes picked up
Lunch made for OH
Kitchen tidied round
Now off out to the bank, have an appointment with manager, I hope it is cool in there as have to wear a mask9 -
Good morning!
I woke up early (about 4.50am) and could hear the birds singing. It crossed my mind that it would be lovely at the allotment at that time - then promptly fell asleep!I woke up an hour later to torrential rain and thunder!! It is now sunny again, and the heat is already building. I am up, dressed, breakfasted and the dog has been walked. I have poo-picked in the garden and waiting for 'work' to arrive in the shape of a chubby, funny 2 yr old
I also need to do the Friday money juggle and check emails, put on DW and wash up.
Have a good day everyone!8 -
Well front lawn done, took long than needed as new road neighbours all out walking their dogs before it gets too hot and stopping to talk...................I am trying to be friendly to the locals but I need to get on. Started the back lawn, and now it is raining so only half done.I have also re organised the bathroom, as upacked things got dumped in there, so it they don't belong in there they have been moved to the right rooms, now I just have to re sort them, I really want to sort the garage, but still waiting for a person with a large circular saw thing to cut something to size first.Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Morning girls! Thanks for commenting on my happy mood. It's been a long time since I've been this positive about life...long may it continue!
Got soaked this morning sorting out the chickens and goats as I stepped out just as the rain came. It has cooled everything down though, which is good, but I sported a drowned rat look until about an hour ago.
Visit to Sussex planned for tomorrow (via Croydon, to collect two chicken coops) so will fly by rellies and yell at them across their gardens to keep everyone safe. Seeing pictures of the packed beach at Bournemouth yesterday made me wonder if the British people have any brains or common sense. My boys have been given three whole days at school between now and the end of July. Three actual days where I don't have to be referee, teacher or constant provider of food! ASB - our food bill during lockdown has been horrendous and I cook from scratch too, so you have my sympathies. Our primary school is tiny so juggling times for everybody's children must be a nightmare as the rules here say only one third of the school pupils can be on site at any one time. I'm waiting to see if I get asked to help out.
Anyway, flying so far has been limited to doing the DW and putting it on again and making my bed, so I better get a chivvy on...8 -
Hiya!
My Friday flying will get done tomorrow as we are popping to a friends garden after I finish work, but it looks like some jobs I normally do over the weekend anyway
I was WAC several times this morning thanks to the kitten, but didn’t want OH peering over my shoulder as he has no knowledge of my MSE account

Dailies are done and dogs are walked as it's a little cooler. No rain though so I've had to water the garden again. Just about to make a start on admin but may need to complete it tonight as I'm back at the paid stuff in half an hour.Spend less now, work less later.9

After watering the garden last night, we had a huge thunder storm and loads of rain through the night, typicalCross Stitch Cafe Member No1WIP: Cross Stitch: - Crochet:9

I've been getting into a routine finally! 🙌 I'm getting up early, getting my shower and then cleaning the house before starting work 😊 it's been sooo much easier and I'm feeling much more content! The one thing I haven't done is cleaning the windows so I will do that tomorrow- I've got my window vac on charge ready for it 😉
It's really humid here today - we had about 10 mins of heavy rain earlier but I'm pretty sure that we'll be in for thunderstorms later - fingers crossed they turn up before I water the garden 😂10 -
Bank appointment done (it was so so hot in there)
Stamps bought and cash withdrawn in post office (first cash I've had out since Feb, but was down to less than 1 euro in my purse)
Spreadsheets updated
Lunch made and eaten
Melon cut up for later
Spent ages on the phone to DD2 whilst she was on her way to an interview for an internship/apprenticeship for next year. Fingers crossed,
We had a few big drops of rain late morning and it cooled down but has now gone very very hot and muggy so not going to get much done now.
Long chat to boss, not going back until September and I've told her I'm not going to renew the contract once it's finished.
Going to look up how to make iced coffee or tea and sit under the cherry tree.8
