Just had a look for first time and the general discussion board has some lighter threads you would have to be selective. There also is a section called chatter.colinw said:

I only posted on lighthearted threads in the Arms and will miss it. During these unprecedented times of high anxiety it gave me comfort and something else to think about.0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

A lot of people are not visiting friends and family until it's safe. Imagine the Arms was a life line for a lot of them, especially those living alone. Seems a bit unkind to pull it now.
