No I'm not. I don't even know what that forum is. I'm only on mse and on the dormant one I was talking about.

Sorry, @Quasar, I misinformed you. I just went onto that forum to check it out, and she has your avatar but wasn't called Quasar, she was called Pastafreak.

It was the pasta bit with the avatar that made me think she was you! Sorry!

I think the present situation is different from what has been done before, in that people left MSE but MSE still had DT/The Arms, so the community was split and the off-site versions failed.   This time we don't have the MSE boards, and in theory MSE should be able to give their blessing, especially on the basis that it could still be loosely affiliated and we'd all come back if they changed their minds.

I'd be happy to admin the site if people are interested in this option.

There is only a small number of admins so it was always going to overwhelm them eventually. I think everyone needs to have a look at what they have reported over the years and think whether it was really necessary?

In the years I’ve been on here I’ve only ever reported one comment and that was because the poster was implying they may kill themself. I thought MSE had a responsibility to contact the person to make sure they were ok. 

It was these petty minded nasty lot that forced the close. I'm not talking about the odd, one off every so often report but those with nothing better to do, little gangs messaging their net friends getting them to report, and wind up those that in their veiwe go the better of them. I'm straight talking and I say it how it is. If I do get it wrong I will say so, admit it rather than empty words saying that I own up to my error unlike some.
